Saturday Coord

On Saturday we went over to Seb's grandparents for dinner, which was lovely! I wore my LBD which I think is pretty special since it's Barbie-brand. It feels really fun to have a classic piece like this from a fun brand! I felt a little Audrey Hepburn-ish, I had my hair kind of like hers, wore the LBD and similar glasses!

My Tradera Auction is Active!

So, I've finally set up a Tradera-account and filled it with a bunch of clothes that I'm no longer using. Please take a look! Everything is in great condition, some things have never even been used, prices are low, too! I really feel sad saying good-bye to my dear old clothes, but they've just been sitting in my wardrobe and I think it's time they gotten a new home.

Get to my auction here!

Ps. If you're not from Sweden I think you can still place a bid, because I selected "International Shipping", if you have any questions about a certain piece you can just ask me, here or on my mail: michaela_alsberg@hotmail.com

Today's Coord

Today I had a job interview, it's the first of the jobs I've applied to who were interested in seeing me, very exciting! I'm applying for jobs all the time, and it's a little disheartening when you never hear from that company again, so even if I'm not getting this job, the fact that they wanted to meet me for an interview meant a lot for my self-confidence! I think it went pretty well, so cross your fingers that they'll want to meet for a second interview as well!
And this is what I wore. I bought those pants from Zara that I had been lusting over. I really like the cut, I usually don't think pants are too flattering on me, but these actually make my legs look okay. I might buy another pair if they have them in any other colours. I'm also thinking about buying a matching blazer, would it be cool or just look ridiculous if I wore a suit? For now my gray blazer goes fine with them, though :)

Yesterday's second coord

I had fun decorating my head with braids yesterday, but then I realized they didn't suit my navy dress, so I had to change. I really like this hairstyle, and I'm so so in love with my orange lipstick from MAC.
And this is what I wore when we went out, we just went to the local pub, so I stood out quite a bit, but whatever! It's so much fun to dress up.

Today's Coord #1

Today's coord, I like it a lot! I didn't have any clean (lol) ankle socks, so I used a pair of knee socks instead, looks really bulky IRL. I kind of regret buying them in the first place, I really like OTK-socks but when they just go to your knees it makes you look like a school girl. Not that it matters, I'm just saying ^_^''' I'm wearing my Sonia Rykiel pour H&M-platforms today, they kind of work for the flatform trend that Chanel has been sporting this spring, but mine are more like wedges.

In my headphones: Filip & Fredrik's podcast (music is so not hot any more, podcast is the new thing!)

So typical, it's been crazy hot all week here in Stockholm, and I've been sweating like crazy since I haven't dared to leave the house without a jacket or sweater, and of course the day I actually do it's not hot outside anymore ;___; I didn't freeze too much though, but still. I felt like such a failure when I left the house and people were staring at me with scarfs wrapped around their necks, been afraid it was going to rain all day!

I'm going out after work today, so I'll post another coord soon!

Charity

I think all my readers should take a second out of their days and click their way onto this blog: http://blog.paf.com/schulmania/. It's a Swedish blog by a guy named Calle Schulman, it's one of my favourites, he's a really funny guy and recently became a father to the most adorable baby girl! If you can read Swedish you should tune in daily to get entertained, because every unique reader adds on money to a charity cause! But even if you can't read Swedish, you should do a good deed and click the link just ones, because it WILL make a difference!

Peace ♥

Today's Coord

I'm a little uncertain about weather now, because you wake up and it looks real sunny and warm, but once you get out you realize it's pretty cold. I freeze extremely easy, too. I wanted to show off some leg, but not freeze to death, so I decided to go light on the lower part of my body and then bulk up with a sweater and leather jacket on top, wearing boots helps too. When I got out I realized the sweater was unnecessary, but a scarf was much needed!
I didn't wear any make-up today. Lazy? I guess. My eyelash curler SUCK, it rips of my eye lashes. I have to buy a new one ASAP! But I hate spending money on boring stuff that you need, my money are suppose to be spent on pleasure only ;___;

Gets... again ;____;

 I haven't actually gotten these... yet. But GOD I want to! I love them so much. What I really like is that they're kind of suit pants, but they could work well with a casual outfit as well. They'd fit me good too, I think they're supposed to be somewhat short on a regular size woman, but they were at a perfect length for my short legs! The colour is so cool, too. Without being too much. I HAVE to get them ;___;
And this is something else I tried on, and I would like your opinion on. I usually just wear really short skirts because I think you should show of the most of your legs when they're short. Can I work this? It's a lot longer than I'm used to, but it felt pretty comfortable! It's mostly the skirt I'm unsure about, the top I just picked out to avoid standing there in just my bra.
I finally bought the "Morange" lipstick from MAC! I think it looks really good, it suits me. At least I think it does! I'm not comfortable in red lipstick, and if I use any I'll use pink. I think this is a nice place where the two can meet!
We stopped by at the movie rental place to rent "Wall-E", we were choosing between that and "My Neighbour Totoro", but they only had the latter for purchase, so we decided to buy it instead ^_^ What's great was that they had an offer, so I could get "Breakfast at Tiffany's" as well! I'm really happy about it, it's one of my favourite movies and I've been missing it in my DVD collection.

We bought some bath bombs at Lush, a small one for me that's supposed to be moisturizing, and two big ones to use together. One is vanilla scented, and the other one is supposed to dye the water in different colours and turn it golden and sparkly, can't wait to try them out!

God, are these posts boring? I feel like people always say that a typical crappy blog is just pictures of outfits and what the person has bought recently, whoops! I kind of like these posts myself, but I guess it is a little boring if there's nothing else. Any thoughts on what you'd like to see more of?

Anniversary pt2

For lunch we went to Bromma Blocks and bought take away sushi and lobster pasta which we enjoyed on our balcony. I was jealous of Sebastian's food, that lobster pasta is too tasty! I wanted to eat a light lunch to save some room for dinner, but sushi is more filling than you'd think!
For dinner we went to this really nice restaurant called "Le Rouge" that is located in Old Town. The interior of the place was so cool, once you stepped inside it was like you were transferred to 19th century Paris and Moulin Rouge, the place looked like a brothel! I only took this picture in the bathroom because the lighting was so dim (and also, Sebastian would've killed me if I'd brought up my camera in the middle of dinner).
The food was really good too, I had mozzarella with tomatoes and basil for starter, veal chops with asparagus for main course and a lovely yogurt pannacotta with mango and passion fruit for dessert. After dinner we walked to the central station and had some wine at a hotel bar, and then we just went home and ate Ben & Jerry's and watched the Big Bang Theory.

I really had THE best time yesterday, I felt like a princess all day ^_^

Anniversary Coord

This is what I wore for our night out yesterday, I needed a dress with an elastic waist that could support our three course-meal ;)

And my lovely jewelry for the evening. I combined my Aztec bangle with cheap H&M-bangles, I really liked how it turned out! I also liked mixing silver and gold, it works well for the boho-chic look. I wore my new feather-ring from Åhléns as well. It's funny, because it gotten bigger during the evening, and I had to switch place to the middle finger, but then it was too tight so I had to use oil to get if off, ha ha! I love it anyways ^_^

Straight hair and natural make-up, I wore my sparkly heart-necklace as well :)

Luxury breakfast with gets!

I've had such a lovely morning! I wish I could wake up like this everyday... well not really, it wouldn't be any special then, would it?
We broke in our new balcony furniture with the most amazing breakfast! Champagne and macaroons for me, and err... shrimp cake (?) for Sebastian.
I love macaroons so much, it's the perfect candy! My favourite flavours are caramel and licorice.
I got a bracelet from House of Harlow, Nicole Richie's jewelry brand. I love her stuff so much! I think it's amazing because you can achieve her look without buying 4000 SEK Hermes-bracelets. This is so beautiful, it's really heavy which I love, and the red is actually leather, which surprised me. But it's oh so beautiful *in love*.
AND I got my new favourite perfume; Love, Chloé! I was so surprised by that too, like "Wow, slow down there boy, haven't I gotten enough all ready?" Apparently not, but I'm not complaining, I love being spoiled ^_^

We're gonna head in to town eventually, and visit a restaurant tonight. I'm very happy and excited today!

Today's Gets

I bought a pair of Wayfarer replicas that I thought were pretty true to the original. I really want a pair of real ones though, one day! I think they're great because they go with so many looks, you think that they wouldn't but then you remember Audrey Hepburn wore similar ones in Breakfast at Tiffany's!
I got a free case with them, which I thought was very sweet considering I got them at a cheap store.
I bought fake tanner for face and body, and scrub gloves. It's time to bring on some tan for summer! I'm actually not as obsessive with tanning as I've been in the past, I'm fine with having just a hint of colour now. I tan easily so surely I'll be pretty bronzed ones summer comes, but I don't feel like it's a mission.
I bought a ring with a feather that kind of wraps itself around your finger, really pretty! I'm gonna get lots of different rings, I really like that look where you just wear like 3 one each finger!
And, I bought a sporty water bottle since I've started running recently. I'm planning to run a 10K at the end of this summer ^_^

I bought some other stuff to, but that have to wait 'til tomorrow, because tomorrow is our 2 year anniversary!!

Today's Coord

My simple, going-to-the-store-outfit. I'm trying to be a little more creative, like not just slap on a pair of jeans and sneakers. You're still comfortable in flats, but they're more stylish. I think it's important to not overdo it, though. Your fabulous party outfit would just be so wrong for daily activities, so save it for party night. I don't go out a lot, so for me it's important to make an effort even when I'm just going shopping nearby, if I didn't I may forget how to get dressed!
I really like this skirt, but I rarely use it because it feels like it's incredibly short, I guess because it's poofy, I'm always afraid I'm flashing people!

Homemade Pesto

As I told you we bought a blender last weekend, for one thing I like to drink smoothies, but we also bought it to be able to make things like pesto and hummus, yesterday I tried making pesto. It was pretty easy really, the only thing was that I didn't know temperature + time to roast the pine nuts, so they stayed in a little too long. I think they sat for about 18 minutes at 175°C, I would say 15 minutes tops, but more like 12.

Anyways, when the nuts are done roasting you simple pour them into the blender with a lot of fresh basil leaves (I bought two pots and basically used up all of it!), blend them together until everything is crushed. Now you can add one wedge of garlic and the olive oil (about 200ml of olive oil), blend again. Grate parmesan, about 100g, and blend it into the mix. Now you just need some salt and fresh pepper and you're done!

I really want to start making more stuff like this at home, because there's way too much pesticides when you buy processed food.
Btw, isn't the jar so cute? It looks like grandma's jar of homemade marmalade :D

Tuesday Coord

I hate delaying my posts, but here's an outfit post from Tuesday!
My legs look so short and stubby ;___; I don't think they came off that way in real life, but in images you always get "flatten out", especially when the quality isn't so good (and I know my pictures aren't, I need a new camera! Or skills.). But I like this outfit still, it just a shame I can't show it off so good.

New Layout

I changed the old, pink one for plain white and a little boring. Some people, who are actually good at Photoshop can make amazing, fun layouts for their blogs. My skills are only basic and I feel that it's best to just keep it as simple as possible, hopefully you think what I post is interesting enough so that not much colour is needed! What I think is really important with a layout is that it doesn't annoy people, and I felt like the last one was a little annoying, the font was tiny and hard to read. As for now I have my old, cherry blossom banner, but I'll change it soon into something more suiting.

Saturday Coord

Saturday was April the 30th, which is a holiday in Sweden called "valborg". Originally it's like "first day of spring" and you're suppose to go watch a big fire and stuff, but I just associate it with underage kids getting drunk on light beer, so it's not really something I celebrate.

Instead of passing out in my own vomit at 8 PM, me and Seb went to a friends house for a barbecue, a much nicer way to spend the evening if you ask me ;)
I recently started subscribing to "The Zoe Report", a newsletter from my favourite fashionista Rachel Zoe, and I had just gotten one where she recommended wearing a head scarf with a maxi dress, big glasses and wedges, so I got this idea in my head and really wanted to try it out! I couldn't wear my wedge sandals, because it was cold, but I think my tan ankle booties looked just as good. I really like the scarf I used, the pattern reminds me of my favourite-brand-that-I-can't-afford; Missoni. It annoys me a little though, because the fabric is like silky so it will slide of your hair eventually, but at least I looked cute for a little while!

More gets?!

Yep, that's right. I just can't stop shopping it seems? I'm really horrible because I was supposed to save my money until the end of the month (when I get more money) and spend it then, but it's so hard! There's always like "Well I actually need this, it's a question of good hygiene", and like, I got a new bikini but there was just one size 34 left, what if they had run out and I had to walk around all ugly on the beach this summer?! I all ready feel ugly on the beach as it is, at least I can have a nice bikini. And things are cheap, so you think it won't matter, but it all piles up. Right now I really want to place an order for a few items on Nasty Gal, I know I will eventually anyways, but if I do now I'll basically be broke for the rest of the month. But if I don't, my size might run out, the entire item might run out, or I might "accidentally" spend my money and not be able to afford it. Plus, if I spend it all right now on the items I want, at least it will be worthwhile, where as if I don't I might spend it all on crap and end up with nothing. Oh the dilemmas of life!

Enough of my ranting now, and on to the gets!
Our lovely balcony table which we bought Friday and put together yesterday. It's so beautiful! I realized that it's a bit small for our huge balcony, I guess I'll just have to buy A LOT of flowers so that the rest of the balcony won't seem so empty.
We went out to buy a blender and stumbled upon this beauty, which we got an amazing deal on! It was like 1000 SEK at first, but on sale for 400! That's amazing, because you only get small blenders or ones from crappy brands for that price, but this is big and it's Philips, so you know it's good.
 (sorry for unmade up face)
Our premier smoothie; Bananas, soy milk, Greek yogurt and two pieces of dark chocolate. It was so good I got jealous of myself for getting to drink it, you NEED to try this!
I did another amazing deal, hair straightener and dryer that was only 160 SEK each! The colour is so cool, it's nice to have a matching set, I really needed new ones, too. My old hair dryer is so crappy it BURNS your hair if you hold it too close or at a temperature that is too hot.
And today, I bought some cheap flowers, because it's nice to fill your apartment with flowers (but I'm a horrible person who'll just end up killing the poor bastard.)
Hush hush, gift for my boyfriend whom I'll be celebrating two years as a couple with on Friday! The reason I had to put a picture up of this was because I'm proud of the fact that I'm getting better at gift wrapping, like I can curl the strings and stuff now ^_^

Yesterday's gets

I needed new shower gel, so I treated myself with this lovely package from The Body Shop. It includes two bottles of their new, eco-friendly shower gel in the scents pear and lemongrass, and apricot and basil, so lovely! Showering will be super-nice now, because it'll smell amazing, be good for environment AND I'm surrounded by penguins! It doesn't get better than that. I also get a hair butter for dry hair, I've tried one of their hair treatments before, one with Brazil nut, and it really worked wonders for my hair, I'm hoping to be able to say the same about this one!
And, I finally found my perfect bikini for this summer. I'm so so sooo in love with it! The colour will look so good with a tan, and the pattern is kind of Missoni, isn't it? It really motivates me to work hard to achieve that perfect bikini-bod to match ^_^
I got a matching nail polish (I have matching sandals, too). I really like these washed out colours on nails right now. Either washed out or bright orange (what I have right now), bright turquoise is real nice too!
I've been having some minor skin problems recently, so I bought a vanilla fudge face mask to try and clear it up. Vanilla fudge is like my favourite candy, so just looking at this is making me hungry ha ha ^_^
This is my old case for my iPhone. I've designed it myself, and it's really cute, always catching people's attention! But it's like a year old and it was getting really gross and dusty, so I've replaced it. Presenting...
My new owl case! It's so adorable, don't you think? I really like birds, especially penguins and owls. They look so nice, too. Like they want to share with me all their knowledge.
