Today's Coord

 Herroooo!
My Shopping coord today, the weather was totally indecisive so I was afraid it would be too cold, but it was okay. When you run around with your hands full of shopping bags you keep warm :)

Rundown:

Shorts: H&M
Ballerina Flats: Nilson
Earrings: Accessorize
Rings: H&M, Indiska, Åhléns
In my headphones: Bob Dylan

My awesome gets day!

My student loan arrived this morning, so I thought this was a great reason to head in to town and shop just a little, I knew The Body Shop had a sale that I wanted to check out. Turned out other shops were having big sales as well, and a little turned into a lot!
I just bought a bottle of coconut foam bath, the sale was like 50% but I didn't find much that I needed, but it's worth checking out if you want some body butter or shower gel :) I also got a nice bag, it had some sort of charity tied to it (to help kids in India with education) and it's nice to bring your own bag when you go grocery shopping.
I got this lovely blouse at Topshop, half off. I love the black Peter Pan-collar!
I was suppose to get this beautiful thing as well, but when I got to the check out it turned out that it wasn't actually on sale, but just marked wrong, and I didn't feel like I could afford paying full price.
I cheered myself up and bought a sweet pair of brogues instead ;) Real leather which I love, makes me so happy! I've been wanting to get brogues for so long so I was really happy to get a nice pair for so cheap.
I just tried on this dress, but I didn't get it. It looked super-cute on the hanger, but I didn't feel comfortable in it. It's very Twiggy!
A pair of pants that I just tried on but didn't get, I liked the fit but the legs was (of course) too long. I think it could still work with my Jeffrey Campbell-heels, but I didn't feel like buying something I could just wear with one pair of shoes. Although, I'm kind of having second thoughts...
LOVED these chinos! Great fit and super-comfy, the fabric is really light and I feel they'd be perfect for summer. Unfortunately they weren't on sale and I can't afford them right now, but I'll probably go back and get them when I'm richer.
This co-ord I tried on at Monki a couple of weeks ago, I didn't have any money at the time but I had decided to buy the pants and lace top today. You could imagine my joy when I got there and saw that they as well had a big sale! This meant I was able to get something extra for the same price as the pants and top had originally been ^_^
I got a big, comfy, knitted sweater in some sort of light maroon colour, ha ha, I don't know, but I like it!
I also got a light apricot-coloured, slightly cropped top.

Sorry for my ugly poses ha ha, I'm not used to using the self-timer and it's too dark in the living room to take pictures by the mirror.
I also got some literature, I got the latest issue of Swedish Cosmo, and also I picked up the book I'd ordered a few days ago; "Eating Animals" by Jonathan Safran Foer. I've heard good things about it and I'm interested in learning more about meat industry and stuff since I turned vegan.

HIRED!

I finally got a job! I now work at Max, which is a Swedish hamburger restaurant similar to McDonald's (but way way better!). I was interviewing for the position last Monday and when I didn't get a call back I thought it had gone to someone else, but then the boss called me on Saturday and wanted me to start working on Monday, so I've all ready done two days of work. I really think it's fun, everybody have been super-nice to me and it's super-close to home which is convenient of course. It just feels so good to finally have purpose, and it's nice doing actual work that tires your body, makes me sleep good at night :) I'm also very proud of myself that I got a job all by my own, the last job I had Seb got for me, and it made me feel very dependent.

Go me!

Sunday 12th of June

On Sunday (yesterday) it was my dad's birthday, he's so super-old now, 51! Believe me, I'm doing a good job teasing him about it! I had decided I wanted to make cheesecake to him, so I invited myself over to my parents' on Sunday for coffee and cake.
Since I no longer eat egg or dairy, they had prepared strawberries and soy cream for me instead, om nom ^_^
As always I got a lot of compliments for my cheesecake, it's super-yummy! It's such a pity, because I really love baking but I never get the chance to because I don't want to eat stuff like that too often, and Seb would live up to his nickname (Sumo-Seba) if I baked cupcakes just for him!
After cake and coffee I was sent out to buy some vegetables and cook dinner for us. The store sold these coconut juices and they made me think of coconut water so I wanted to try it, NOT THE SAME! This was really gross, super-sweet, yuck!
 Snooping through dad's CD-collection while cooking ♥
Wore my white maxi that day.
And some pretty bangles, turning my body into an instrument ^_^
The food I made: veggie burgers made of carrots, sweet potato and potato, red wine gravy and a salad of tomato, cucumber, three different kinds of pepper and red onion, delicious! I was inspired to make this from a cooking show I had watched on Saturday, it was exciting because I didn't have a proper recipe, just cooked out of memory from what I've watched :) I've gotten so much more joy out of cooking since turning vegan, because now I'm more motivated to cook proper meals for myself since it's so important to get all the proper nutrition's!

Weekend in the country

 So, on Friday me and Seb took my dad's car and drove up to Seb's mum's vacation house in northern Uppland. I spent all of Saturday baking in the sun like a sweet potato, the others were doing house work and being useful, but I'm too lazy for such things! Also, I had a very important tan to attend to. Sadly I never get even tans, as you can see my skin is all spotted, I hate having dry skin ;____;
Glazed up like a coconut-flavoured Christmas ham ^_^
My company, Rocky-magazine (best comic ever!) and iPod.

Going out of town

Going to Uppland to visit Seb's parents now, this is what I'm wearing. I'm on my iPhone so I don't want to make a rundown, but nothing's new. I'll be back on sunday, hope y'all have lovely weekend!

My day with W♥C Gets!

I started off this day with some studying out in the sun on our balcony. I study math right now, and it's really hard, it kind of goes in waves, sometimes I think it's fun and sometimes I hate it. Anyways, it got a bit easier when you could get a tan at the same time!
Won't have to cook for a while.

After a few hours of studying I went out to buy food, and when I came home I made a vegan, bolognese-like pasta sauce. I'll make sure to post some recipes, even if you don't plan on changing lifestyle, eating a lot of natural food and plants is good for everybody!
While I was out shopping the mailman had given out our mail, and I had gotten an exciting note for a package to pick up!
I was pretty sure what it was, and when I saw the parcel I was even more sure!
 Anybody who can guess yet?
Nope, the Kumatan bag wasn't the actual gift, but it's still nice to get a little something extra, I feel that this is typical Japanese.
It was the W♥C I ♥ Japan-shirt! I ordered this such a long time ago, I was still in Cyprus at the time, it must've been in March or something. Waiting isn't much fun, but I'm glad it finally arrived (even though people don't really seem to care about the earthquake anymore), and I guess you have to think of the fact that the Japanese postal service maybe haven't been working properly with the earthquake and whatnot.
Right after I had clicked "confirm order", I regretted it, because I had chosen a size small, but now I'm glad I did! I've always heard that they have such tiny sizes in Japan, but this one fits me perfectly :) I'm always so silly when it comes to stuff like that, I never want to wear bigger than a size small (or x-small, really), because it makes me feel fat. This time my vanity worked in my favour!

Saturday Night Outfit

On Saturday night I went out with a friend, this is what I wore:
This is why I always take the pictures myself! I know my angles, but Seb is such a crappy photographer, he makes me look like a 150-pound-giant.

I had worn that blouse earlier as work clothes paired with chinos, so when I was heading out in the evening I just paired it with denim cut-offs instead! It was way cold going out like this at night, I wore my big blanket cardigan too, but it was still too cold.

Rundown:
Headband: Accessorize
Blouse: Nasty Gal
Bag: Zara
Bangles: H&M, House of Harlow
Rings: Indiska, Åhléns, H&M
Shoes: Monki
In my headphones: Ke$ha

Work Day

Some time ago, I applied for a job at the Swedish coffee chain Wayne's Coffee, and on Thursday I got a callback! So today I went to the cafe to do a work-tryout. It's real convenient, because it's located in the Bromma Blocks mall, which is really close to home! I was so excited for today, because I really would like to work in a cafe, I always have thought that it would be fun! I thought it was fun, too, but I was such a newbie. I don't think I screwed up too bad, but of course it's always hard when you try something for the first time.

I'm crossing my fingers that I'll be able to come back, but there was another girl trying out who had more experience and knew better than me what she was doing, so I'm not too confident. I really would like this job because it was fun, but if I don't get it it just means I have to apply to more places.

Friday Shopping

I thought I had school early on Friday morning (8.30), but when I arrived at school I found out it was closed because of "Jesus going to heaven-holiday". Since I was meeting a friend to go shopping later in the day, I decided to take a walk to Kungsträdgården and spend the time reading while waiting for her. Walking for an hour in ballerina flats wasn't my wisest decision, my feet were killing me and of course going shopping afterwards didn't make it better.
I tried on some clothes at Urban Outfitters while waiting, I like their dressing rooms, but they're a nightmare to photograph in! Any way, I really liked this dress, pretty, and this cut is super-flattering! It gives me a nice, slim waist, covers my big hips and shows off a bit of collarbone, lovely.
Tried on a coral cardigan as well, I really liked this colour, it's so bold! The fabric was really nice, soft and thin.
My look for that day. After we met up in town we went to the Kista mall to shop. I didn't have any money what so ever, but it was still nice to browse and help out with some style advice!
I tried on some clothes at Monki, I really liked this combo, and I really would like to get the harem pants. My boyfriend hates them, and usually he likes everything I wear, I need something that he doesn't like. No man's gonna tell me how to dress!

Tuesday Coord

On Tuesday I went to my cousin's graduation party, this is what I wore. Tuesday was such a super-hot day! It was also very windy, I felt like Marilyn Monroe with my skirt flying all over the place.

Rundown:
Dress: Nasty Gal
Rings: Indiska, Åhléns, H&M
Sandals: Topshop

I really want to get some turquoise rings, but until I have I'll use nail polish in that colour instead!

Monday Coord

Monday I spent a bit hungover, but also studying. In the early evening I went to have coffee downtown with a friend, this is what I wore. I look like such a lesbian, I think it's because the tweed shorts and flats makes me look like a golfer, and we all now golfer ladies are rug munchers.

Rundown:
Shirt: H&M
Shorts: H&M
Shoes: Monki

Sunday Coord

I said on Twitter that I'm gonna blog tonight. Well, prepare for a shitstorm of coord-posts! Whether you'll like it or not, I'm not gonna post all of them at once if that's what you're thinking, it would mess up my topic-cloud...
On Sunday I first went on a Mother's Day dinner with my family (bf not included). I wanted to stay on track with my new, vegan diet, but they basically didn't have anything suitable, so I chose to vegetarian plate, which had halloumi cheese and tsatziki. I felt a bit bad about it, but not too much, I think it's okay to eat a little dairy if there's not anything vegan available. As long as I'll eat all-vegan at home it'll be okay!

After the dinner I went to meet up with Sebastian, his friend Fredrik and his girlfriend. Fredrik's friend were having a birthday party at Cafe Opera, so we all went there to drink and have a good time!

Rundown:
Blouse: Nasty Gal
Blazer: Silence + Noise/Urban Outfitters
Bag: Topshop
Jeans: H&M Kids

International Readers

One thing that I really love about using Blogger as my blog platform, is that my stats will show from where in the world my blog is read. I think it's so super-cool to see that I have readers from all around the globe! When I went to check my stats today, I noticed that there had been a major increase in readers from the US, almost as many as readers from Sweden!
I really would like to know all of you better, not just my American readers of course, but all of you who follow this blog! Where do you live? How old are you? Why do you visit my blog? What did you have for breakfast this morning? I'm dying to find out!

My Saturday

We woke up at like 10.30 today of Seb's phone ringing, it was a friend of his asking if we wanted to join him and his girlfriend to a clearance sale for brands such as Zoo York, Ecko and others. We got dressed super-quickly and jumped on the bus to Alvik.
This is what I managed to put together this morning, very pleased with it! I love the mirror they had at the clearance sale, I hate our mirror and the light in our living room, all pictures end up blurry ;___;

Rundown:
Hat:
Complement/Åhléns
Blazer: Silence + Noise/Urban Outfitters
Shirt: H&M
Pants: Zara
Boots: Ti Amo/Scorett

It's been very windy recently, and while we waited for the train my hat blew off. Me and Seb were hugging and he kept on hugging me and I just panicked! What if I had lost my hat?! All my coords would've sucked :( It was wrong of me to beat him, though >.<
The clearance sale didn't have much to offer, obviously those brands don't have a lot of things that I like, and everything was to big for Seb. His friend got a t-shirt though, so it wasn't a complete waste, ha ha ^_^ We went in to town afterwards and I shopped like crazy! Okay, maybe not like crazy, but more than allowed when you're poor ;___; I still have things that I think I should've gotten, though. Like I found this super-cute vintage store that sold the most fabulous blouses! I liked it a lot because the selection was small, the clothes didn't smell bad and they seemed to exclusively sell things in a small size, I usually don't like vintage because it fails on all three of those points.
I got those shorts that I wanted! This is how I had pictured them in my head, how to pair them. Problem is I don't know what else would look good, any suggestions? I though they might go well with the white blouse I got from Nasty Gal, but it looks a bit off to pair two things with ribbons. Oh well, I'll come up with something!
I bought a pair of white, simple shoes at Monki. I like them because they look some-what like Keds, but the sole is more like espadrilles.
I bought a shit load of rings! The two big ones are from Indiska, and I bought two smaller ones from Indiska as well, the feather is not new and it's from Åhléns, and then I just bought two batches of rings in gold and silver at H&M. I really want to wear a lot of rings like this, and I have to start somewhere, right? My only problem is that my fingers are really slim, and it's hard to find rings that'll fit on my ring finger and pinky :(
This is just a close-up on the shoes I'm wearing in the picture with the shorts, white ballerina loafers from Topshop. I've been wanting these for so long! I'm really happy that I got two pair of shoes today, I really need more comfortable shoes that I'll actually wear. I have way too many party heels in my closet :/
Just some necessities, bralets and tube-bras and ballerina socks. I have such a problem with bras, I tried buying real ones at Oysho when we were in Cyprus, but they just turned out to be too big, and I hate that they make my boobs seem bigger, makes me feel like such a fake! I don't even like big boobs. I'm sticking with bralets and bikini tops from now on!
And last but not least, I got a new hand creme from The Body Shop. In the past I've used their hemp hand protector, but I don't like the smell of it so I wanted to try something new. This smells really good! Hopefully it will make my hands soft as well, ha ha ^_^

I've had such a good time today! I love shopping :D
