Friday, Friday

Friday was the only day off I had last week, so I wanted to make the most of it. The weekend before had been my mum's birthday, but non of us were in Stockholm then so we decided to celebrate it one week later.
I really like this dress, it's from Free People (awesome brand!) and it's really beautiful, it has great details. Only problem I feel is that it's so.... like it's not very "fashionable", and it's all ready done once I put it on. I don't need much more and that bothers me. I tried to make it more fun with JC-shoes, slouhy hat and some bangles, and I think it worked out OK!

Rundown:
Hat: Complement/Åhléns
Dress: Free People/Urban Outfitters
Bangles: H&M, House of Harlow
Shoes: Jeffrey Campbell/Nelly.com
I invited my parents over for lunch (and cake, but sadly I forgot to photograph it), because we were having cake dessert I decided to make a couple of small dishes so no one would feel too full. I made a salad with avocado and sun-dried tomatoes, crustini with gréve-cheese and honey, asparagus in oven with sea salt and parmesan, salmon rolls with cream cheese, and some homemade hummus with rosemary-flavoured crispbread sticks. I got a lot of compliments for my spread, but it all was so easy to do! Really yummy, though!

After lunch and cake, we went to a rocky spot over the sea were you can go swimming, and I made my first appearance in Swedish waters for this year! It actually wasn't too cold, I wish I would be free to go swimming more often.
After that I said good-bye to my parents and went home, when Seb came home we decided to go out and eat. We just wanted something simple and had plans to get Chinese, but that restaurant was closed for summer so we had to come up with something else. This is the outfit I wore at night, all black! Wearing so much black isn't really 'me', but I quite liked it.

Rundown:

Sunnies: Lindex
Blouse: Cotton Candy/Nasty Gal
Backpack: Topshop
Jeans: H&M Kids
Ballerina Flats: Nilson
We went to this nice fish restaurant instead, much better! I had two starters as main; lobster soup with parsley and shrimp, and ... caviar toast? I'm not sure if it's actually caviar but it looks similar and I don't know the proper word in English :)
Seb had clams and french fries (Moules Fries).

I loved this Friday, it really felt like I got the most out of it!

Come to mama...

Darn, I shouldn't shop more, I was so convinced that I'd be able to put away some money and spend most of it on the home for a couple of months, but then Nasty Gal sent me e-mails with their latest collection and I realized I pretty much have to give them all my money ;___;
This dress. THIS DRESS! O-M-G! I just, I have to have it in my life ;___; SO beautiful I want to die! I would only be able to wear it for a few more months but I don't care, I know I'll regret it if I don't get it. And it'll be summer again next year as well. Thanks to dollar standing short against the SEK I'd be able to get the dress and the necklace below for under 1,000 SEK, there's no question about it, is there?

I love the combination of this dress with the denim Litas.
Wouldn't mind it with the lilac suede Litas either, but I don't think my economy allows me to buy boots this expensive in such an odd colour, I've made the mistake of buying too fun shoes too many times. My life needs to be more fun first!
I was CHOCKED and dropped to the ground with the low price of this, it looks like something from House of Harlow but was just 20$! NEEDS it!
And I just loved this coord, I love black in the summer when it works. Saw a girl out on the town wearing something similar a few months ago, that was a good day :) Would so buy this if I were going to some other festival this year, great festival outfit! But I'd probably exchange the Litas for some low-heeled boots, uncomfortable to stand around and dance for hours in ;)
This coord was so fab too, I love the way the fuchsia top just POPS! Looks so lovely with her skin colour too. Btw, isn't this model so pretty?

Special Breakfast

On Wednesday morning I realized we barely had any food in our fridge, since I was going to the store to buy necessities I decided to buy some extra stuff as well; fresh bread and orange juice. When I came home I cleaned up the living room table real quick and organized a nice breakfast spread ^_^ Seb really doesn't like mornings, whereas I'm a real morning person. I'm trying to manipulate him to start liking mornings as much as I do! It was so good to eat fresh baked bread, we usually just eat crispbread, so it was nice with something different for once.

Recovery lunch

This is what I had for lunch today after my gym session, I tried to make something a bit healthy and packed with protein, and crayfish omelette it is! This is actually super-tasty, so tasty I had it for lunch yesterday as well. I don't know if it's very healthy because I put quite a bit of cheese on it, but I guess it would work fine if you're on the Atkins or LCHF-diet (which I'm not).
You'll need this:
About half a can of crayfish (shrimp would work just as well, I don't think crayfish is very common outside of Sweden/Scandinavia)
Two eggs
1 dl of milk
Oil/butter for frying
Salt, pepper and cayenne pepper
Cheese
Sun-dried tomatoes
Lettuce/salad mix
Vinaigrette

Crack the eggs in a bowl and add milk, finish the batter off with some salt and fresh ground pepper (please use fresh ground at not ready ground, it will taste a million times better!), melt some butter or oil in a frying pan, when the butter is melted and spread over the surface you simple add the batter. Let it fry for a few minutes on low temperature, add cayenne pepper. When it has turned from liquid to a more solid texture you can add cheese and crayfish/shrimp. I'm really not that skilled at making a good-looking omelette, I don't really know when it's actually done and putting it on your plate too early makes i break, but it's fine if it does, it just won't look too good. Serve with some kind of salad, I just put some salad mix and sun-dried tomatoes on my plate and sprinkled over a bit of vinaigrette.
Enjoy!

Preparing the transformation from couch potato into gym bunny

Yesterday I was going to the store to buy some soda, and some sales girls from Worldclass gym was standing outside trying to sign up new members. I was interested and I went up to talk to them, just to realize that one of them was an old classmate from high school! Really random. Anyways, I got the opportunity to go and try the gym out for free, so today I packed up my gym clothes and went for a Body Pump class! It really was so much fun, so sweaty, and so hard. I still feel shaky in all my muscles, it definitely was tough to go all in when you haven't worked out in months, but it was amazing at the same time! I really liked Body Pump, it really is focused on the entire body and I think I would be VS-fabulous if I went for a couple of classes a week.
I signed up for a membership after the class, the deal you got was pretty sweet; first month for free + 4 PT hours free of charge. The gym was really fresh and all too, and you got a goodie bag containing two cans of Magic energy drink, one hair mask, panflets, water bottle and protein mixing powder.

When I see the big cans of protein powder I'm always intrigued to start some kind of high protein VLC-diet, but I don't think I could ever make it, I love food too much ^___^

Peace & Love Festival

Painted my nails in the car, super-happy to be able to wear nail polish again, I'm not allowed to at work so I have to make the most of it when I'm having a day off. I don't think you can more out of it then to paint them minty blue ^_^

(LOVE MY RINGS!!!)
My sexy driver man, just look at those arms ;____; *girlboner*
Yes, I have to take many pictures of this beer, not just because of how super-cool it looked, but mostly because it was so fucking disgusting I need some kind of payoff for drinking it! It tasted like dark beer mixed with gas station coffee served in an ashtray.
Xide Urban tasted slightly better, but too sweet, the flavour was like blackberry or something, I think a flavour like that should be more sour that sweet.
 Comfy road trip outfit.
 Xide Tropic tasted better...
... but Xide Wasabi Lime is still the undefeated champion!
We weren't camping this year, instead we stayed at a friend of a friends mother's house (farm), experienced some late-night, bad ass tractor riding!
Me and Seb woke up early on Saturday morning... or well, I woke up at 8, because as soon as it gets light enough it's impossible for me to go back to bed. I lay awake alone for 2 hours listening to Bob Dylan, Seb had his alarm set on 10 but had secret plans to snooze for hours. Well, I put an end to those evil plans!
I was nice enough to let him lay still and listen to podcasts with me for 1 hour, after that it was time to take the car into Borlänge centrum and the big mall that they have there. I needed hungover food and a new belt, ironically I bought a size that was too small for the pants I was wearing (Seb's pants) so I still had to hold on to the waistline (more like ass line) to prevent flashing the entire mall.
Hungover food; vegetarian nacho platter with extra cheese ♥
At the actual festival, this was my festival outfit, dug it so much!! The only problem was that I desperately missed my hat, this would've looked so perfect with my slouchy black hat, don't you agree? I was like honestly upset about it all day, ha ha! My hair is my problem, I didn't bring my flat iron and if I don't style my hair carefully I just look like Hermione, so I need a hat, or else I'm doomed to hair buns.

Rundown:
Backpack: Topshop
Shirt: Topshop
Bandeau: H&M
Shorts: H&M
Shoes: Converse
I only saw two acts (originally was intended to see 4), but Sage Francis definitely owned this festival! I've found a new kind of love for him after this show. I think hip-hop shows usually are the best, I guess maybe I think so because I like the talking in between songs and what not, talking comes natural for rappers because initially that's what their job entails. Even if you're not a fan of hip-hop, I'd advice you to check him out. A lot of people don't like hip-hop because they associate it with the fucking dickhead rappers on Mtv, this is nothing like that! Just listen to the lyrics of this song, and then you'll be convinced that he's awesome and you'll check him out on Spotify as well ;)
The other act I saw was Bob Dylan, such a disappointment. Apparently I shouldn't have kept my hopes up, and apparently this is what you can expect from seeing Dylan live, but I don't care about that. Good is what it is, and this wasn't fucking good. I'm not going to give him shit for going strong at his age, his voice has changed a lot (for the worst in my opinion) but I still admire someone for not letting age get in their way. What annoyed me the most was that he sung all the songs completely different, and when I'm at a concert I want to sing a long, I learn lyrics for a reason you know! Another thing that bothered me was how he didn't even seem to acknowledge that there was an audience present, if I just wanted to hear music I could just as well stay at home and listen to them on a CD, when I'm at a concert I want some kind of connection with the artist, I want them to talk a little between the songs, say something nice about my country. Also, and this is more of a complaint towards the organizers of the festival, but you couldn't see shit when you were all way down in the back. Usually they will tape the artist well and from different angles and then it won't matter that you didn't want to push your way through the crowd, for all I knew anyone could be up on that staged, there was no way of telling.

(Btw, why is he wearing sweat pants?)
Sebastian went away for a few minutes and came back with a pick-me-up: ICE CREAM! My favourite too; Fairly Nuts. Okay, now I'm lying, I don't have just one favourite, they're all so delicious!
Disappointment mixed with happiness over ice cream.
I have such a dull look, kind of like oat meal. I should wear more make-up, but when I do I look old instead.

After Dylan we didn't see anything, we spent the rest of the night listening to Journey from the beer tent. I don't get how people can be so interested in seeing Journey, they've only made on song and we all sing it better than they do.

After beer tent I apparently got very drunk and annoying, like all tough sailors do when they're far away at sea. Apparently we saw Foreigner too, but I have no memory of it. I had wanted to see Håkan Hellström, but my "friends"wouldn't let me because he's a talentless cunt.
Forced my hunky man to play model before we went home, jealous? ;)

Festival trip

In our rental on the way to Borlänge and the Peace & Love festival, we haven't gotten far, we've been stuck in traffic for an hour and a half. I better let time pass with this awesome Fear & Loathing porter I bought, its alcohol percentage is 9.2, see you in the fog!

 Super-colourful romper time!

Rundown:
Headbands: Accessorize
Sunnies: H&M
Rings: H&M, Indiska, Lindex, Åhléns
Romper: Topshop

Bought a "coconut" filled with coconut water. I didn't like it too much, but it's suppose to be very healthy. I prefer water anyways, as it has like zero calories!!!
Finally bought this shirt at Topshop, I love the cut-outs!
Bought a backpack as well, I need one for biking, and it will be good to have at the festival (I'm going to Peace & Love today!)
 ♥
 Ordered some rings from Asos.

And a new pair of Converse, I could really recommend you order your Converse from the UK if you're in Sweden, these were only 400 SEK, while in Sweden they're like 700?! >.<
Yesterday's going-to-work-coord, I try to put a little effort in even if I don't really show off, it just makes you so much more happy if you look somewhat pretty ^_^

Rundown:
Dress: Vintage/Beyond Retro
Belt: H&M
Sandals: Topshop
This was a very good hair style for work, kept the bangs out of my eyes and my hair still looked decent after spending hours under my little work-hat!
