Yesterday's gets

I needed new shower gel, so I treated myself with this lovely package from The Body Shop. It includes two bottles of their new, eco-friendly shower gel in the scents pear and lemongrass, and apricot and basil, so lovely! Showering will be super-nice now, because it'll smell amazing, be good for environment AND I'm surrounded by penguins! It doesn't get better than that. I also get a hair butter for dry hair, I've tried one of their hair treatments before, one with Brazil nut, and it really worked wonders for my hair, I'm hoping to be able to say the same about this one!
And, I finally found my perfect bikini for this summer. I'm so so sooo in love with it! The colour will look so good with a tan, and the pattern is kind of Missoni, isn't it? It really motivates me to work hard to achieve that perfect bikini-bod to match ^_^
I got a matching nail polish (I have matching sandals, too). I really like these washed out colours on nails right now. Either washed out or bright orange (what I have right now), bright turquoise is real nice too!
I've been having some minor skin problems recently, so I bought a vanilla fudge face mask to try and clear it up. Vanilla fudge is like my favourite candy, so just looking at this is making me hungry ha ha ^_^
This is my old case for my iPhone. I've designed it myself, and it's really cute, always catching people's attention! But it's like a year old and it was getting really gross and dusty, so I've replaced it. Presenting...
My new owl case! It's so adorable, don't you think? I really like birds, especially penguins and owls. They look so nice, too. Like they want to share with me all their knowledge.

My Day

Today I had an errand, which as to pick up a package that I had received. Also, I finally got my salary! I got it last week on my Cyprus account, and immediately transferred it to my Swedish account, and it was suppose to arrive on Monday but it didn't come in until today. I've been worrying about it, this is like THE ONE pay check I really need.
When I went down to the store, I saw that the cherry tree had started to blossom! It really made me happy, cherry blossom season is my favourite of the year! Last year it started right in the beginning of May, which meant that me and Seb could celebrate our anniversary (May 6th) under the beautiful cherry trees in central Stockholm ♡
I picked up some magazines at the store as well, my favourite SOLO, and I also had to get Chic since it has an interview with my favourite fashionista; Rachel Zoe!
And this is what's was in my package, an energy drink called Celsius which is really low in calories (10 per can, it's still more than diet Red Bull, though), but it's not as bad as Red Bull because it has like a natural sweetener and no artificial flavourings.
I also got Shirataki noodles, you're supposed to eat them instead of pasta or noodles, it's great if you're on a no-carb diet, or just want to lower your calorie intake.

They weren't for me, though, the texture really grossed me out. I eat carbs, just in moderation. I don't eat pasta on a regular basis but if I want it I'll treat myself with it once in a while. These are crazy expensive, too.
I went to Scorett in Bromma Blocks and got these sweet ankle boots. I really needed shoes like these, something simple and comfortable for everyday use that let's you look a little dressed up. The colour is great for this season I think, but I would like to get similar ones in black for winter.
I also got a jump rope, I want to start running but it's great to have cardio that you can to at home for those days when it's raining or you want to stay inside for other reasons. I can't jump rope to save my life, but I really want to learn!

Today's Coord

I'm still sick, at home and without make-up, but today I was going to my neighbourhood shopping mall and needed to look representable, so I dressed up just a little. It's funny because if I were just going to the supermarket which is right next to the mall, I could easily wear my pyjama pants and not care, but you MUST dress up when in the presence of fashion.

My Easter Weekend

I've all ready told you about the awesome gifts I got from my boyfriend, but I also got a nice gift from my parents:
Two similar necklaces in gold with diamonds, one with a ribbon and one with a heart, so pretty!

I had such a nice time meeting my parents, little brother and grandma on Saturday, I ate delicious food and just had a great time with people I've really missed! I was also proud of myself for realizing that I was full after dinner and turn down dessert, it's so easy to just eat because it's a holiday and you feel you deserve a treat, but it's much nicer to just be moderately full instead. After dinner we went to visit our friends and see their new apartment.

On Sunday I celebrated my hangover ;___; Or, I wasn't really that hungover, but I'm sick so that makes everything worse. I just sat at home and did nothing all day and then worked for two hours and then we went to our friends house for the first barbecue 2011! I ate grilled chicken which was delicious thanks to my awesome marinade and the fact that Seb knows how to handle the grill. After dinner we played a game called "Rappakalja"(Gibberish) and I won! Way proud of myself, I usually never win :D

To sum it up I've had a really awesome time this weekend. What did you do? :)

Sunday Coord

We went over to our friends house for a barbecue and I wore this, hippie style! I really liked it, It was so comfy and loose and effortless ^_^

Rundown:
Headband: Accessorize
Necklace: Lindex
Dress: Free People/Urban Outfitters
Cardigan: Cubus
Bangles: H&M
Boots: Nelly.com
Braids confuses me, what I did was that I took two small sections of hair and twisted them together, and then sprayed them. I think it turned out pretty okay, much easier than braiding! I think I look like a dirty hippie with this hair, ha ha. But I got compliments on smelling nice so hopefully not too dirty ^_^

Everything is suddenly so easy because my hair is long. I've had short hair for so long, I kept bleaching it and it never wanted to grow out properly. I really do love short hair on girls, though, it's so beautiful and elegant. But I don't think I have the hair for it, mine's so thick and curly, there's a lot of work keeping it nice when it's short, and even then it frizzes easily and looks bad again.

Don't wear sweat pants to the store!

I wore this going grocery shopping yesterday, I just wanted to make a post about it, because I think it's so nice to actually put on something that looks good at all times, even when you're just going shopping for groceries! I rarely live by this rule, but I want to get better at it! That's why I need more easy-just-put-them-on-dresses. I need to start shopping better too, because often times I buy something that I'm not comfortable in, but I still want it because others look good in it.

I look so pale ;___; That's all I have to say about this picture.
Loved my outfit that day so much! I'm wearing favourite clothes and favourite trends; slouchy hat, Peter Pan collar, '70s glasses, ankle socks in heels. I want to get more dresses like this one, it's so lovely! Nasty Gal is like my new favourite website!

My Easter

Hope you all have had a lovely time this weekend, with lots of egg-hunting and candy! At first I thought the egg-hunting was on Thursday, but then I found out it was on Saturday, so Saturday morning we went hide and seek in our apartment. It's really fun, I think it's important to keep the child in you, because you're never to old to play!

I loved the "egg" I received, it even beat last Easter! (last Easter I got a chocolate egg with chocolate pralines from Anton Berg, and also a Hello Kitty lipgloss ^_^).
I had asked to get tea instead of candy, because I'm trying to be more healthy and not eat as much sweets. So I got this lovely tin can filled with the most amazing tea! It's like an Oriental mix with cinnamon, cardamom and citrus fruit, amazing mix. It's so good I don't even have to put milk and honey in it (which is important when you drink as much tea as I do ^_^).
But, since Sebastian knows about my sweet tooth, he got me a couple of macaroons anyway! Two of them are new (seasonal, I think) flavours which I hadn't tasted yet; Tahiti Vanilla and Lemon, delicious! If I were richer I'd have macaroons for breakfast everyday, makes me feel so pretty and French :D

Out and about in Stockholm city

Today me and Seb went into town to shop, or well, browse the stores more than anything. Actually I was the only one really interested, but he was a good boyfriend and tagged along to keep me company. I really feel like my wardrobe needs a make-over, when we moved back in I gave away a lot of clothes, and I also have a big bag of clothes that I'm gonna sell (soon... I'm just really lazy ^_^''). I want things that are easier to co-ordinate, and also a little more mature.
I bought a pair of black chinos at Mango which I quite like, I definitely need more clothing like this. I know that maybe someone with my leg-length shouldn't fold the cuffs like that, but I like it and I just have to live with my short legs, it's not like I can change it! Also, the leg is quite wide, which I don't like, and frankly their too long ha ha. Maybe this wasn't the best buy? ^_^

Anyways, I really love Mango! I have never shopped there before because I thought it was a really snobby and expensive, I don't like walking in to those kinds of places because I feel the staff is looking at me like I'm going to shoplift. But it really wasn't that expensive at all, everything just looks really lush! The staff was super-friendly, and you got one of those nice paper bags with string handles. She even wrapped my pants in some kind of paper, and I got a envelop for my recite! O__O  And also, 20 days of purchase on approval, even though it was a sale item. Everything just keeps piling up into complete awesomeness, ha ha! Stuff like that is what makes me want to return, like if you get a nice bag and stuff, it does a lot for the overall experience.
Sebastian bought a Voluspa candle for our apartment with Champagne scent, so lovely! I really want to be the kind of person who buys expensive candles, I have this idea that that is what makes you rich for real (although I'm not, but I can cut down on food in order to having my apartment smell real nice).

Today's Coord

The look I'm going for right now is one that looks effortless. It can be fun to look high-maintenance too, for parties and stuff, but when I'm just going out I like it if it looks like I just threw on what was closest to the bed. I think it has a lot to do with season as well, the high-maintenance look is better for fall/winter.

Today I'm wearing:
Beret: Topshop
Sunglasses: H&M
Necklace: Lindex
Top: H&M
Shorts: H&M
Cardigan: Cubus
Flats: Nilson
I tried going for the effortless look with my hair as well, I have quite curly/wavy hair naturally, but I thought it was a little too much, so I straightened some of it, and left parts with its natural curls.

Brown eyes

This is about a year ago, when I had long, blond extensions and brown lenses (and way too much roots, c'mon girl, hair dye ain't that expensive!). How do you like it? My hair is turning more blond, and I'm thinking about getting brown lenses again, I need new lenses anyway since the ones I have hurt my eyes. I think blond hair + brown eyes is the prettiest combo!

Sunny nights

Tiny, green leaves have began to sprout on my Easter twigs, how lovely?! I really want to start to grow some flowers, I'm just usually so bad at keeping them alive.
Btw, this photo is taken at 8.15 at night, and it's still this light outside! I love Sweden in the Spring/Summer, the sun sets super-late, it really makes you so much happier. Tonight my neighbours are having a barbecue, it really feels like summer is finally here!

Sick :(

I've been home sick yesterday and today, it really sucks, especially today when it's so sunny! It's fine because I can still work from home, but I hate not being able to take a walk in this lovely weather. Yesterday I applied for a few jobs, and I plan to do the same today. It's so handy that you can do that kind of stuff from home now, but if that doesn't work I'll have to start applying in stores and stuff.

Most of all I'm just taking it really slow, I really don't want to be sick tomorrow. I get kind of "fainty" every time I stand up, it's really uncomfortable and scary, so I try to just spend as much time as possible on the couch. Yesterday I watched "Trinny and Susannah style Sweden" and now I'm watching Swedish "You are what you eat". I love my TV, because we have so much play services, there's always something to watch ^_^ And if there isn't, I always have video games :D

Decorating for easter

Today I bought some special Easter-twigs, feathers and tiny eggs to make an Easter decoration. Easter isn't a big a holiday as Christmas of course (for Christmas I go crazy, like Lily in HIMYM), but it's still nice to get some colourful decorations. On Thursday it's egg-hiding-day, and on Saturday we're invited to my parents' for Easter dinner.

Does this look weird to you? I don't know if these kinds of decorations are "international", but this is usually what every Swedish home looks like during Easter. How do you celebrate in your country? I guess Christians' celebrations differ a lot, like are probably more traditional and family-oriented? I just celebrate because it's fun!

My day

I used to be really bored and have nothing to do all day, and now it's even worse! I recently was laid of at work, so now I can only work 10 hours a week until the 13th of May, and then I'll be unemployed. Not for too long, of course, I'm currently making a new resume and stuff and applying for every job possible! I can't say I'm too sad about it, because I needed a push to get a new job, but it's a little scary. I don't like the insecurity, I want to know that there'll be a paycheck waiting for me at the end of the month. The thing I'm most scared of is that I'm not even standing a chance to get an interview because I was born in the '90s. I've heard people talk a lot of shit about people of my generation, so I'm just hoping that I'll be judged by resume and personal letter, and not my age.

Well, enough of that boring stuff now! I've actually done a little bit of shopping today, even though I'm really not suppose to... but it wasn't too bad, ha ha.
I bought a new Brazil nut body butter from Body Shop. This one was necessary, though, I really needed a new lotion. Maybe a person with my skin should restrict to only buying pharmaceutical products, but they're so boring -____-'''

And actually, in case someone's interested, my skin is very nice and soft right now, I'm not sure why, but I'm gonna blame the weather ^_^
I also bought some new nail polish, which I guess wasn't very necessary, but it was really cheap and I've thrown away almost all the colours I had since they were dried up. I've started storing them in the fridge now, so hopefully they'll stay fresh for longer!
Lindex had a super-sale on jewelry, so I bought these three pieces for only 10 SEK each which was like crazy-cheap! Lindex isn't a store I usually shop at, but they actually have some cute accessories, like really good RayBan replicas, for example!

I tried on some clothes I liked at Cubus as well, that's another store I usually don't shop at. I had a goal this year to stop buying cheap H&M-clothes, but I guess it's not much better if I start shopping at other cheap stores instead, ha ha. Although, it's a bit much to ask of me to buy high quality and expensive stuff right now, I just got fired :(

Today's Coord

Not the best look, but I still like it because of the colour! I love wearing colourful things, especially on days with bad weather, I like to think that it makes people a little happier ♥ Of course, today's weather hasn't been bad at all, it's actually been incredibly sunny and nice, but still :) A lady at the grocery store complimented me on my tights, so it's not all bad, ha ha. It would've looked better with lighter shoes, though.

Rundown:
Beret: Beyond Retro
Necklace: Accessorize
T-shirt: H&M
Cardigan/blanket: Cubus
Belt: H&M
Skirt: H&M Kids
Tights: H&M
Ballerina flats: Nilson
Not my hairstyle of today, I just like making ribbon hair now that my hair is capable to it. I've become the boringest person (yeah, like I was so much fun before -_-'') since my hair gotten long, it's all I talk about!

Not a sports fan

I'm so happy that my boy is into video games and not sports. Video games I can relate too, I loved them as a kid and I still play myself sometimes. Girly magazines keeps telling me that I should watch a game with him every now and then, and it such a relief that he never wants to watch one. Because I wouldn't. Is that mean? I guess it is, since I force him to talk to me about shoes and calorie intake all day long.

Sports have always been my nemesis. I guess it's because when you were a kid and you had P.E, unless you liked ball sports, you were bound to fail the class. And that's really SO stupid! There's more to sports and exercise than throwing a stupid ball around, they're fucking scary too. I don't know about you, but when someone throws something at my face, I run and hide, I'm not gonna try to catch it. It sucks too, because always failing P.E made me think I was super-lazy and un-athletic, when really I'm just not a team player.

Sorry for my weird and random ranting, it's just something Cosmo made me think about. Ahh, Cosmo, never stop being my source of wisdom!

Slouchy hat ♥

This dude is going to be my biggest inspiration this year, that's fo' sho'!

Help me pick!

I know this is a pretty silly thing to be so uncertain of, but I'm having the hardest time choosing! I have to buy a new pair of Converse and I'm so uncertain of colour. I've always liked the white ones, but then I see so many girls rocking the black ones and looking fab (plus, Nicole Richie has those, eh...). If I could I'd just get all three, but I'm in a tight spot money-wise right now, and I don't really see the point in spending so much on sneakers, I'd better spend that money on heels instead!
The white ones I've just had but they had to be thrown away due to being in extremely bad condition.
Black ones I've had as a kid but high-tops.
Wild card!! Maybe I should get the olive ones?

My Saturday + Coord

On Saturday I was suppose to go to a gyaru-meeting in Stockholm, but I took the time and place wrong and didn't find the people, so I went back home. Anyway, this is what I was wearing at first:
This is like, all my favourite clothes and trends merged into one, awesome outfit! The king of all coords. Two big trends that I'm really into: slouchy hat and ankle socks with heels, and also my favourite shorts, favourite blouse and of course my lovely Jeffrey Campbell shoes, sweet!

Rundown:
Hat: Complement/Åhléns
Blouse: Zara
Belt: H&M
Shorts: H&M
Ankle sock and tights: H&M
Shoes: Jeffrey Campbell
Outside I wore it with my new cardigan from Cubus, another item which I'm sooo in love with!

When I got home to my suburb, Seb met me up and treated me to lunch at a local cafe. I had a chevré and honey salad with walnuts which was so so delicious ^_^ After that we went home for a while and then we went out to meet a friend of his for coffee, and coffee turned into beer/wine and suddenly I was in such a mood to party! So I harassed the people I were suppose to have met earlier and went to Universitetet to party!
I had changed though, so this is what I looked like at night:
He he, I look like Cousin It, don't you think? I've changed my heels into leopard ballerina flats from Nilson, black jeans from H&Ms kids department and also added a scarf (got cold!) from H&M. This photo is taken when I got back home at about 6 in the morning... oops!
I took some pictures on my way home. I'm just so in love with sunrises and sunsets, but especially sunrises. Even if you're not on a beautiful tropical island, or even overlooking the water at all, the light is just magnificent!
