Fatty Sunday

This is what I hate about Sundays, they always turn out super-unhealthy food-wise. It's because you don't have time or even feel like eating something real before work (we start at 12), and when we finally have a break you're super-hungry and will buy something from the closest kiosk. The healthiest thing they have are these sandwiches made from the whitest bread in the world, I hate it! The thing is, that you eat something that is unnecessary and not good for you, but you don't even enjoy it, it's just for filling you up. Makes me so mad! That's what I call "empty calories" >.<

And yeah, I know it's not really helping that I bought a full-cream Frappucino from Starbucks, but whatever. THAT was at least worth it.

Last Halloween

I feel bad about not being properly dressed up this year, so to feel better I want to show off last year's costume, which I was very proud of!

I was Princess Peach from Super Mario ^_^ I loved this costume, it was too cute. If I could, I'd dress up as Super Princess Peach every year ^_^
And Seb was Super Mario, of course. It looked so funny with that belly-pillow, because he's so skinny, so he was like double himself in the belly-area, haha ^_^

Please show me your costumes from this year, link your blogs! I really appreciate a good costume :)

Saturday (Halloween!)

Don't mind my weird face ^_^
We were invited to a barbecue on Saturday, and I wore one of my pretty "Free People"-dresses. I really like this one, the pattern is so beautiful, and it has all these great details (I'm all about the details!). It's a bit too big though, I often have that problem, it's because my shoulders are so weak :(
I ate grilled salmon, it was amazing! Everything was just so good, we had oven potatoes (what's potatisgratäng in English? ^_^) and tzatsiki as well, loved it! I bet the food tasted even better considering none of us have had any food that day.
We got Irish Coffees for dessert ...
... and hike-bananas! This looks so incredibly disgusting, but it's really good actually, and it reminds me of my childhood. You take a banana and put pieces of chocolate in it, and then you wrap aluminum foil around it and put it on the grill, so good!
I was surprised to see that they actually celebrated Halloween here, because I haven't seen any decorations or whatever in the stores, it's just all about Christmas. I was quite sad because I didn't have any costume, and I really love Halloween, I usually take it very seriously and plan my outfit for like months ahead.
My quick-fix was running down to a tourist shop in the harbor and buy a cowboy hat, haha ^_^ So I guess I was a cowboy for Halloween this year. Although, it didn't take long before one of the guys from work decided that he should borrow my hat, and then I was back to being boring, old myself again :(
But a girl let me borrow here wings, so then I was a bumble bee ^__^ She had a proper bumble bee costume, it was too cute :)

Friday

My first, casual outfit on Friday. It's really simple but I like it. The top I'm wearing is actually a dress/tunic, but it's too short to wear by itself. I'm thinking that maybe I should re-do it to look like it does here (I had it tucked in to my skirt). Anyways, the dress is from Japan and I don't think it's any particular brand, the rest is from H&M/H&M Kids.
This may very well be the best meal I've ever had! Those potato wedges are just amazing, but I guess that's what you get when you deep-fry stuff, am I right? I always try to practice portion control, but I had a hard time this time.
I didn't quite capture it on picture, but the sea was going crazy when we were down at the harbor. The waves were huge!
I went to the pharmacy and bought solution for lenses, as well as eye drops. My eyes get really dry here, I'm not sure why. I also learned that pharmacy is the place to go if you're looking for fake lashes. They had really cute ones by Paris Hilton! I didn't buy any this time, but at least now I know where to find them ^_^
We went to the hair salon and I finally bought decent hair spray from Tigi. I love how this smells! It has a very sweet, tropical scent, so lovely ^_^ Also, both me and Seb booked time for hair cuts this Friday. Haha, sounds so pathetic to cut your hair together!
I bought a face scrub from Body Shop. I have gotten pretty bad skin recently, I think it's because the air here is more dirty and polluted than I'm used to.
I bought a writing book for all my homework, with a Disney Princesses-print! I mean, it's no Hello Kitty, but it's okay I guess. At least it's better than boring grown-up blue, makes me so sad :(
I bought a hand sanitizer, I need it for putting in and taking out lenses later because it's very important not to get any dirt in your eyes. Maybe I should become one of those people who cleans their hands all the time and have a light case of OCD? ^_^

Friday night face-look and hair, I actually had really nice curls this night, but I always have a hard time capturing my hairdos on picture.
And my outfit for the evening, I feel like I wore the exact same coords not too long ago? Oh well, I only have so much clothes with me, what's a girl to do?
We went out to the Japanese restaurant "Sakura", it was really nice and fancy, I love places like that! You know, when they pull out the chair for you and put napkins in your lap ^_^ Finally I'm getting treated like the princess I am, haha! We just had a few pieces of sushi as a starter, 'cause we wanted to try out some of the hot meals instead. The sushi was very good, so we're definitely going back there to eat sushi again! I'm so sad though, because they don't have sushi like fast food (=cheap!) like we do in Sweden :(
I had halibut with some kind of wasabi sauce, it was really good! I really liked it too, because they didn't have too big portions. I felt kind of bad for Seb, though, because he likes to eat A LOT!
When we got home we had some ice cream for dessert.
And we watched one of the movies we'd rented earlier, called "Get him to the Greek" starring Jonah Hill and Russel Brand. It was a really funny movie, I really like these kind of movies, even though they're constantly re-using the same actors ^_^ But my favourite comedy films are the ones starring Will Ferrel, he's too funny :D

I'm a deformed monster

I got cracks in two of my nails and had to perform and execution on all of them >.< I hate myself right now, I've been self-conscious of my appearance all week, and the only thing with me not letting myself down has been my gorgeous, super-long nails. Now I have nothing. Now I'm just a fat piece of blob with crappy hair and no sense of style. MEEEEEEEEEH I don't waaaaant to >.<
*overwhelmed with sadness and depression*

Sushi Dinner

Yesterday after work we were tired and didn't feel like cooking, so at first we were on our way down to the harbor to have a meal, but we stopped by the Swedish bar to say hello to some friends, and they'd just ordered sushi, so we called the place up and ordered some for ourselves as well. This sushi was very weird, it had cream cheese in it so it didn't taste like sushi at all! It had a very poor fish-taste as well. It was good, sure, but it wasn't sushi.

Well, we'll make up for it tonight, we're going out to a quite expensive Japanese restaurant called "Sakura" which is suppose to have excellent sushi. I'm excited! But it's so sad that you can't get good sushi cheap here, 'cause it's like one of my absolute favourite foods :(

Urban Outfitters Wants

I got a newsletter from Urban Outfitters today. I usually never bother to read it or anything, but today I thought I'd browse their home page for a bit to crave clothes I wont be able to get.
This is part of this kind of "Russian Fashion", I really like it, it's so cute. This is a really nice dress for everyday use, I think.
I like this dress because I think it works well during summer as well as winter, I've never been one to dress according to season ^_^
These coats are so cute! But I would like a shorter one (I need to show off what little leg I got ;)).
OMG, love this fur stole, it's so MASSIVE! I all ready have a fur stole from H&M, but this is just too lovely. And I love white in the winter.
Leopard print beret, so cute! H&M have a similar one.
This, I would like right now, please. It would work well with the hippie-feeling I have to my style right now.
And this just looks so cozy. I love a simple coordination with just a big cardigan, panginsu, ankle boots, a baggy beanie and sunglasses. It looks so... hungover-gorgeous ^___^

Let's talk about something we're all interested in...

... my hair!
The hair on the top of my head has been getting really long. I guess it's a good thing, because I want my hair to be reeeeally long! But maybe the top layer of my hair should be shorter when the rest of my hair isn't very long, because I still want to have a layered hair cut. What do you think? I've been saying that I should wait with my hair appointment until this spring (it will be 2 years since my last hair cut!), but maybe it's time to do it now? My ends are split as well, so it would be nice to freshen up a bit. I'm just so afraid that my hair will be too short, because I've been saving for so long.

This is the kind of hair that I would like to, eventually, have.

But I guess it's pretty far-fetched considering the hair I have now. I just don't know what picture to bring to the hairdresser, because most girls I see with my length doesn't have the layering I want. Oooh, what a dilemma, why can't I just have long hair NOW?! I should get extensions again...

Recent Meals

I was seriously craving sweet 'n' sour chicken yesterday, but we decided to save or restaurant-going for the weekend (and go to a better, more expensive place ;)), so I had to settle for just rice and sweet 'n' sour sauce, and pickles! It was good as well ^_^
For breakfast this morning I had a bowl of honey & almond-cereal with milk, and some licorice for dessert. Om nom nom ^_^
Aaand my man made the most delicious fish for lunch today! It was Nile perch made in the oven with just different kind of spices, and with it we had a special kind of rice. It was like, ready-to-eat fried rice with egg that you just had to pop into the microwave for a few minutes.

Today's Coords

I really like the blouse I'm wearing today, it has such a lovely pattern! Although, I should probably iron it... but I kind feel like ironing belongs to people in their mid-twenties and up ^_^

Rundown
Blouse: H&M
Skirt: H&M Kids
Bag: Topshop
Shoes: H&M

I curled my hair today, but then we got in a hurry to get to work and I wasn't able to finish, so only my under-hair is curled, and that's pretty pointless because it wont show >.< Oh well, I'll do it properly tomorrow!

Sweet 'n' Sour Chicken Attack!!

You wanna know what I've been in a constant mood for recently? Deep fried fillets of chicken on a bed of white rice, covered in sweet 'n' sour sauce. OMG it's too delicious >.< Chinese restaurants always has such good sweet 'n' sour sauce, too, I can't seem to find one that matches when I go shopping. Me and Seb have been talking about getting a deep fryer for our apartment in Sweden, but I'm not sure if I really want to. I mean, if there's one thing that I would get fat of, it's THIS!

My●Day●Today

I had a yummy yoghurt/honey-dessert for breakfast today. This is like my favourite snack, I usually buy these at my work in Sweden.
On the Siesta today, me, Seb and two guys from work took a cab to "The Paphos Mall" and had a shopping spree! This is grocery store similar to Coop Forum in Sweden, i.e they have a lot more to offer than just food, like clothes and electronics. I love these kind of stores!
We bought a vacuum cleaner, thank God! People here don't seem to use it, which I just think is downright insane.
And I finally bought a curling iron! I have a perfectly fine one at home, but I just felt I couldn't be without it until Christmas, and this was only 18€. It's a different kind from the one I have, so I'm excited to see how I like it!
And I bought some cute sticker ^___^ One sheet of happy fruits, and one of yummy berries ♥
I bought a box of Hello Kitty-cookies, yay! I just couldn't resist them, you get three collectables with each box, and I love collectables. Especially if they're Hello Kitty.

After shopping, we went to a cafe in the same building to have lunch, and OMG we had to wait for our food FOREVER!! I asked the lady how long it would take when I ordered, and she said 10 minutes, but she must have meant 10 minutes per person, because that's what it was. It was an okay sandwich though, and it probably tasted better because we had to wait so long, haha. I think it's pretty weird to get chips with your food, though.
And this is my post-war plate, haha. I don't like bread :$
