Recipe: Veggie/feta omelette

Okay, this is actually too easy to make to even be filed under "recipe", it's more of a food tip. I know that it looks really disgusting in the picture, but it actually was really tasty! It's low in calories (220-300 cal depending on how many eggs you use) but includes all the protein you'll need for one day. I've realized that I eat too much carbs and too little protein, I usually just get protein from vegetarian/vegan sources, because sometimes I can go a whole day eating nothing but oatmeal (I love it so much ♥) . I think I need to eat more protein than that. And it feels really unhealthy to eat so much carbs.

You'll need:
1-2 eggs (I used one egg but it wasn't filling enough, maybe one is enough if you include some side salad.)
50 ml milk
3 Mushrooms
Half an onion
One small paprika
Garlic
Feta Cheese
Oil/butter to cook in
Salt & pepper, any spices of your choice really. I used paprika powder and herbal salt as well.

Start with chopping up all the veggies. When onion is included you should always start by frying this, until it turns transparent and light yellow. After that you add the garlic and the rest of the vegetables. Mix the eggs together with the milk in a bowl, add the spices. When the veggies look about done, you pour the egg/milk mixture in to the frying pan. Because of the large amount of veggies, it won't be "pancake like" like omelettes usually are. When the mixture is no longer fluid you add the feta cheese and turn it over to lightly fry the other side as well. Ready to serve!

I ♥ Work Out

I feel so good after going to the gym today! I love how easy this is, as soon as you start, it becomes a routine and you don't want to live without it. The down part is that exercising gives me more energy, and that is one thing that I DON'T need! I have waaaay too much energy, and I have trouble sleeping at night because of it. I think I'm gonna start doing yoga before bed. It's very relaxing and you don't get so sweaty that you have to shower after. I used to take yoga classes every now and then at my old gym, and I was a total ZOMBIE after that ^_^

Today I spent 15 minutes on the treadmill (warm up), then 30-40 minutes of strength exercises, and then 15 minutes of cross-training. It's really fun, because a guy from work are helping me and Seb (the gym-n00bs), so it's kind of like we have a personal trainer, for free! :D

Today's Coord

This is what I'm wearing today. Just because I'm going to the gym doesn't mean I can't wear nice clothes on the way over there, am I right? My make-up will suffer, but not getting dressed up because of it is just a bad excuse. What's annoying is that I have all the time in the world in the mornings, but I have to spend that waiting for the clock to turn two so that I can meet up with Sebastian and get a ride to the gym with our boss. It's a bit too far to walk, and I don't feel comfortable being there alone.

Rundown:
Onsie: Zara
Denim Jacket: Levi's
Boots: Nelly.com
Finally! My hair is long enough to make a ribbon out of it ^_^ It was surprisingly easy, all it really takes is long enough hair. Anyone wants a tutorial? I'd be happy to make one :)

Today's Coord

I'm happy today, It's Sunday which means I have good amount of time to get ready, and tadaa! If I'm working out 3-4 times a week I will only have time to get done on Wednesdays and Sundays, maybe Fridays and Saturdays but what's the point if you're just staying in playing video games? I like to be dedicated, but not THAT dedicated. Anyways, I'm very pleased with my look today, hence the pic spam.

Rundown:
Hat: Mantaray
Top: H&M
Denim cut-offs: H&M
Fingerless gloves: Mantaray
Fuggs: Melba.se
It's been a long time since I wore lenses and fake lashes. I had to lay them off for a week because they hurt my eyes too badly, but my eyes are fine now. My vision gets a little blurred from the lenses while I'm at work, but it's okay because I have eye drops in my purse ^_^

Weekend Gets

Me and Seb went to Debenhams yesterday to shop a little. I feel pathetic Debenhams being the only store to shop at. If I were in Sweden it would be like only being able to shop at Åhléns, oh the horror! I guess it's okay when you're only looking for necessary items.
I bought this adorable underwear set from a brand called Floozie by French Frost, love it! I love cute, frilly and girly underwear like this ^_^
I also bought two underwear tops, I needed a nude one to wear underneath my white, transparent dresses.
I bought a Nordic print hat with matching gloves. I actually really needed a hat, because it's cold and windy, especially during night time. The gloves are fingerless which works fine when it's not super-cold, I can wear them while I work and I don't have to take them off when I want to play with my phone ^_^
Pow Pow!

Current Crush

Right now I'm just so in love with Jeffrey Campbell shoes, they're just pure perfection in my eyes! Pricier than what shoes I usually buy, but it's obviously worth it, they look really high quality and expensive. A little birdie told me that I might be getting a pair for my birthday. Until then, I'll just dream!

Eeeeek! Are you as in love as I am?! Pics stolen from, and available at NastyGal.

At it again

I went to the gym again today, after my very long brake. First Seb was sick and I didn't want to go alone, and then I got sick this weekend, but no we're all better. I really, really didn't want to go at first, was praying that something would get in the way. Thankfully nothing did, and we both decided not to follow the temptation of staying home and watch The Office.

I started up with a warm up of 15 minutes treadmill, I was suppose to do strength exercise after wards, but Seb was getting help from a friend from work, and it was a little too much to share one machine between three people, so after ding 60 sit-ups I worked the cross-trainer for another 15 minutes. I'm embarrassed of the bad shape that I am in. The cross-trainer was fucking painful, I felt dead when I was done. And come on! 15 minutes is a warm up, not a workout. The cross-trainer is my Everest, my goal is to stay on it for 5 minutes more each time, I have to raise the work level as well. I know strength training really is the way to go if you want to lose weight, and I'm gonna do that as well. But I really hate it, it's repetitive and boring, and you can't listen to your iPod at the same time because you'll get entangled in the chord.

Tell me what you want!

My number of followers seems to rise a little bit every time I log in to my Blogger-account, and I just think that's great! It really makes me so happy to know that someone is reading. In the future I hope to have enough followers for a Giveaway, I'm thinking 100 or 200, but I guess 200 might be a little far-fetched ^_^'

It would really mean a lot to me if you could share with me what kind of posts you are interested in. Right now I feel like I don't have a valid post unless it's a coord-post, and I'm not sure that's the kind of blogger I want to be. I don't want to rant about my days either, they're really boring, and I don't think I'm an interesting person enough so that I think "woke up, had breakfast, went to work" is of any interest to anybody.

Would you like to read more about fashion and beauty? Health/diet/exercise? More recipes? Should I talk more about films and music? I'm taking your lack of comments as a sign that you're not pleased, and it's pretty scary to be up here blogging when you know people are just watching you in silence.

Recipe: Homemade Granola

I'm oh so proud of myself today, I made my own granola! After my failure with the banana chips last weekend, I'm happy to at least being able to succeed with something. I'm definitely going to start doing this regularly, it was really easy, and a lot cheaper + healthier than most store bought granola. I followed this recipe, with a few changes:

I don't know if there's any difference, but I used regular oat flakes, not "flake rolled oats" like the recipe said. But they seem to be pretty much the same.
I didn't use any coconut, didn't find it in the store. Worked fine without it, but I would've liked to have some.
I used almonds as well as toasted hazelnuts.
The store didn't have any canola oil, so I used rapeseed oil. It worked fine, but maybe that oil is less healthy?
I used vanilla sugar instead of pure vanilla, didn't really know what to look for. I think you should use pure vanilla instead because it's healthier.
For dried fruits I used banana chips, dried pineapple and raisins. I put the raisins in the oven with the granola mixture, because I like the way raisins swell up when they're baked.

Today's Coord

Wearing a new dress that I got from my boyfriend today. I'm wearing a skirt and tank top under it since it's see-through, and it's cold at night so it's nice with some layering, but I would like to buy some nude underwear to wear underneath instead.

Rundown:
Dress: Nelly.se
Denim Jacket: Levi's
Necklaces: H&M
My make-up seems to always end up differently on each eye, I don't know whether that is because of my lack of skill or because my face is weird and in serious need of surgery, ha ha ^_^

My Weekend

On Friday we were too lazy to cook and ordered Chinese instead, steamed rice, prawn dumplings, beef with bamboo shoots and sweet & sour chicken. There really is no point of me photographing my meal under such crappy conditions, I kinda have a phobia of flash photography, I don't want my food to gross you out!
I tried making my own banana chips following this tip. It didn't go well at all, I dipped the bananas in a mixture of lemon and honey, and then left them in the oven for 2 hours, but they just never dried. They ended up sitting in the oven for a total of like... 4-5 hours? I tried raising the heat, but they never dried, they just turned black and burnt. I don't think it's worthwhile at all, you have to leave the oven on for so long that you're not saving any money anyway.
We went to Starbucks, and after wards we stopped by The Body Shop and I got the Almond Body Butter. I was just going to get a couple of small gifts for my friend, but when I saw the almond butter, I just couldn't resist it! I used to wear this all the day, but they've discontinued it in Sweden. I got really nostalgic over its scent!
I have so much Body Shop products, I could open my own Body Shop! I just have to see exactly how much I have, and well... ha ha ^_^
I woke up on Saturday feeling really sick :( I had such a bad throat ache, all I wanted was ice cream. So I caved and I got my boyfriend to head down to the store and buy me some. I wasn't suppose to eat any sweets until my birthday, so I guess that failed, but I don't really care! I'm still proud of myself for staying away from sweets for most of the time, and I don't have the kind of sugar addiction that I used to have.
We were so lazy on Saturday, spent most of the day like this, watching The Office ^_
Oooops, had even more ice cream for dinner (after actual dinner). I'm not one to eat much, but when it comes to ice cream my belly get surprisingly expandable, ha ha ^_^
None of us are big fans of cleaning, this is what our counter looks like at the moment. Seb orders pizza from Domino's all the time, and he always buys three pizzas at the time, ha ha! I'm gonna clean tonight, I promise.

Friday Coord

Nothing special at all, just threw on something to wear when we went to Starbucks. It's not okay to wear sweat pants and no make-up to Starbucks, it's the cool and hip place where all the (extremely) fashionable people in Paphos hang out, ha ha!
I've started to extend my eyeliner to the inner corners of my eyes, really like how it looks, makes my eyes look bigger ^_^

You may say I'm a dreamer, but I'm not.

I got two gifts today, one in the mail and one... wasn't really a gift, more like a get. From me, to me.
I got a letter from my lovely pen pal Zelda ^_^ I just love exchanging snail mail, you get so happy when you see a colorful letter full with stickers in your mailbox, this really made my day today!
I also bought some products at the Body Shop, an Aloe Vera Face Cleanser and a new Conditioner. I got a free sample of this conditioner ones and I just loved it! It's really smart to give ME samples, because I always end up buying the product! And it's such a simple little way to cheer your customers up. That, and nice shopping bags.
Today I got a mascara sample and perfume, I all ready have the best mascara in the world (FiberWig), so I wont end up buying this one. The perfume is nice, I like having samples in my make-up bag so you can get a refill whenever you need. I'm not sure it's nice enough for me to buy, though.

What has to thumbs and has cheered up again?

THIS GIRL!
I woke up really happy today, not tired or unwilling to do stuff at all. I'm so lucky to only have very short periods of unhappiness, it must feel so horrible if your depressed for real all the time, I wished everyone could be happy always!

I think I've felt down partially because Seb have been sick, and that kind of made me feel sick. I haven't been to the gym all week as I didn't want to go alone, so now I'm really looking forward to going there next week. I'll only have this membership until the end of February, so I should give it my best!

Today's Coord

It's been warm all week, like 19°C and sunny, so today I decided to wear my denim shorts without tights, went for a very casual summer-y outfit. It was a bit cold, to be honest, and I got harassed by some 12-year-old boys, but it's nice to get some sun on your legs, isn't it? I originally bought that shirt to wear to the gym, but I decided it's a bit too cute to not wear with other clothes as well. Would you say it's gross to wear the same clothes you wear to gym to work? Of course I wash them in between, but I can't help but think that maybe people think I walk around in sweaty gym clothes O_O
Light and natural make-up today, the fake lashes seem to irritate my eyes, so I've been staying clear of them during this week, hopefully my eyes are fully rested and ready for lashes again next week. It have been feeling really weird wearing them, like a small piece of plastic have been stuck under my eye lid, any suggestions what to do about it? I've tried using eye drops, but they don't seem to be working.

January Depression

I've just been feeling so down lately, I'm usually a bit depressed during winter-time, but it isn't really winter where I am, is it? Maybe it doesn't matter, but I know I'd feel even worse if I were in Sweden right now. Still, the reason I'm not so happy is because I feel really homesick. It's just little things, like having to walk a total of one hour to get to a proper grocery store (instead of 10 minutes). I'm sad because I feel like I'm missing out when I'm not home, I'm putting my life on hold. There's gal meets I'll be missing (a big one in Norway in particular). I miss Swedish foods and candy (but I guess it's good that there's not as much temptation here as it is at home).

I was suppose to go to the gym today, but I didn't want to. Seb is sick and I didn't want to go without him, I don't feel like moving anyway. I don't like the gym either. It's just as expensive as any gym in Sweden, but the quality of everything is so low. The worst part is the dressing rooms, they're incredibly small, there's only one shower in the dressing room, and that one doesn't even have hot water. If you want to shower in hot water you have to go out of the dressing room to another shower, and I really don't feel comfortable standing side-by-side with a bunch of unknown people of various genders, with just a towel to cover myself up.

I'm sorry for being so glum, maybe now when I've gotten my sadness out of my system, I can go on and be happy and bubbly again!

New Nails: Randomness and Graffiti Tips

I re-did my nails today. I started with a classic French manicure, and then I painted the white tips with my pink graffiti nail polish, after that I just added some randomly selected parts. I don't think I particularly like these kind of nails, but some of the parts I get aren't suitable for any other designs, and I have to use them some time, right? I really need to buy some more rhinestones!

Today's Coord

This is what I'm wearing today (the denim shirt looks better and more shapely in real life). I'm really glad about buying that belt, it was something that my closet really needed! Feels kind of stupid that I put it up for so long though, because it was so cheap.

Rundown:
Usamimi: H&M
Necklaces: Accessorize/Playboy
Tank top: H&M
Shorts: H&M
Denim Shirt: Zara
Belt: H&M
Boots: Nelly.se
I did the simplest hair do ever, but I actually really like it! It goes well with my usamimi too, I think.
Can't wait until my Diamond Lashes arrives!

I love the future

I just installed the BlogPress app, now I can blog ALL THE TIME!! You'll never get rid of me :D
