Today's Coords

This is what I was supposed to wear today, but I realized I didn't have time to go to work today, so I'll just stay home. Just to clarify: I'm not skipping work just like that, I have the option to work from home whenever I want, which is very helpful since I have to study and take care of our apartment. I try to go to the office as often as possible anyways because I probably wont have this option in the future, and I want this experience to count as an actual work experience, which means leaving your house ^_~ Haha, but that's not what this post was suppose to be about.

A clean mind and a clean house

I'm so good today! A good student and a good little housewife. My day has been spent studying, doing the dishes and vacuum our apartment. I always feel like I vacuumed yesterday and still the floor is covered with dust, I guess you have to do it more often than you'd expect. It's sooo dull being grown up sometimes. I should get a maid.

Christmas candy makes me hapi panda ^_^

When my sugar craving kicked in earlier today, I remembered we had some candy canes hidden in our pantry, and it made me sooo happy! Haha, I guess I'm a bit gross; eating year-old candy and what not. Does candy canes really have an expiration date? I mean, it's basically just sugar. Sugar is a great preservative!

I'm happy that I've been taking the time to put on normal clothes, if I'd stayed in my lounge wear one more day I would've gotten crazy, haha! I've actually felt a little bad towards all of my blog readers for not being cute for two days. I hope you understand that I have to make school my main focus right now!

I really like my make-up today, I think it's very flattering, I didn't even have to photoshop away my under-eye wrinkles as I usually do, lol :p The funny thing is, the white eyeliner as well as the brow-liner I both got from magazines! I guess sometimes you can get some good stuff :) I've started to fill in my eyebrows, I wish to elongate my brows a little, as they should be parallel with your eyes.
What do you think about this make?

I did a very big, voluminous hair today, I think it turned out really well, much better than the faux-hawk I had last week, even though it's a similar do. It's fun when you can see the process you're making yourself!

Green Sparkle Nails

Here are the nails that I did yesterday, what do you guys think? I really like them, I love seeing different shades of the same colour (lol, I know I'm weird, it just brings joy to my heart ^_^), and of course I love things that sparkles, so it's perfect!

Mr Nostalgia Teddy

I was craving cartoons last night, and so we ended up renting a Bamse movie. It was so much fun watching it, since this is a cartoon both me and Seb grew up watching. I really like watching things from my childhood, they're a different kind of funny as an adult.

Do you remember Bamse from your childhood? Is this character recognized in countries outside of Sweden? I think I remember from the magazines that the comic was released in other countries as well.

Oishii? I think not!

I bought another flavour of the ice tea I picked up yesterday. I don't remember what this flavor was called, but it said it had Japanese rice in it?! Anyway, it wasn't tasty at all, it tasted weird and kinda disgusting. I had to take several sips to confirm it, but I finally decided that I DID NOT LIKE.

Wheel of Deco

Sorry for not posting anything yet, I've been rather busy with school today, but it still seems as I didn't get enough done! Oh well, at least I've sent in my Swedish homework now, and started with my Society assignment.

I would like to blame my boyfriend's work schedule really. He works from 1 to 9, and if we have breakfast at 10, we always get stuck in front of the computer watching South Park. I know I should use these hours in the morning to study, or at least get something important done, but it's so hard to not hang out, when I know we don't get to spend too much time together. I know I'm being silly, because we even work together, so I should get sick of him, haha ^_^

At least I have taken the time to do my nails tonight, they just looked utterly disgusting! I'll show you my nails tomorrow when the lighting's better!

Earmuffs

Maybe I should start making posts about all the good things with winter time, that way we wont feel so sad when the temperature is dropping! I know some people like the cold, I'm definitely not one of them. But one thing I really like is some of the super-cute fall and winter clothes, it's nice to be able to change your style four times a year, that's one of the good things with living in a country that isn't summer all year long.

One winter attire that I really like is earmuffs, I think they look ridiculously cute, and they don't mess up your hair, it's a win-win situation! I like to wear poof-ball hats too, but when you take them of your hair looks all flat and I'm not allowed to wear headgear at work.

I actually wore my earmuffs to the store today, 'cause it was so cold yesterday I figured I didn't want to freeze my ears off.

Oishii Ice Tea

When I was at the store earlier I picked up some "Oishii Lemon/Honey Green Ice Tea", I couldn't resist the cute design! I've had green ice tea before and wasn't a fan, the one I tried then was very bitter and not sweetened. I like hot green tea without any sugar, but I don't think that cold drinks should be unsweetened, kinda tastes like penicillin to me :p This was very good however, they had more flavours, so maybe I should try them out next time I'm at the store ^_^

Hopeless

Uuh, I'm such a bad girl today, I really try to study but instead I end up reading blogs, stupid.

Right now I'm doing an assignment in Swedish, and this assignment is divided into three parts. The first part is making an audio file where you argument about why someone should or shouldn't read a book. I'm studying at home by myself so I can't perform speeches and stuff in front of my class. The second part is choosing a blog post by someone else and write about what you thought was good/bad about this post. I like that the school is recognizing blogs as valuable media, it feels very modern!

The last part is writing a second draft for a short story, and this I think is the hardest. I started writing a short story that I hated last time, and now I'm taking the same story but putting it in a different angle, and now I don't hate it as much. So I'm kinda happy, because that means I'm improving. Also, I know I'm being too hard on myself, because I always get higher grades than I would ever dream of!

My Hello Kitty Collection

Sorry for my non-made-up face, today I will only stay inside and study, work and do laundry, so I thought I should make time for those important things and not spend hours in front of the mirror ;)
Yesterday when we were out on the town I bought a Hello Kitty egg. It's my favourite candy, but I don't think there's a store near where I live who sells Hello Kitty candy, so I always make sure to buy one whenever I see them ^_^

Today I got Hello Kitty holding an apple, I didn't have this before, so I'm very glad I didn't get a duplicate!
By the way, how the hell can Kitty hold an apple?! That's like third of her weight, lol!

Here are my Kitty Collection, I only have 9 kitties left and after that I can move on to another series.

The big Kitty holding a guitar is a pencil top that I got from an ice cream I bought in Cyprus last year, the others are from the other series. The kitties in the other series looks way better, they are a lot more detailed! Unfortunately this series is even harder to get a hold on, I only know one store that sell them >.<>

Decisions has been made ...

... and it seems like this guy will be ruling our fine nation for at least 4 years to come. I'm very happy, because it's the party I voted for! And he's so pudgy and adorable, dontcha think? ^_^

Date Night

After voting, I went right home and changed into my panginsus and cozy cardi, but I was still cold :(I had a large diet coke and then we shared a large popcorn with nacho cheddar seasoning, yumsters! But I felt like I wasn't satisfied with popcorns after a while. I want it all, and when I've gotten sick of the salty flavour, I wished I had chosen candy instead, haha ^_^ I had the exact opposite problem last time we went to the movies!

After we had voted, we went in to town and out on our second date night this weekend! We went out for dinner on Friday as well. At first we went to the movies and saw "Dinner for Schmucks" with Steve Carell and Paul Rudd, it was soooo hilarious! It was a really sweet movie as well, I really loved Steve's character "Barry". I thought this was a Judd Apatow movie because of the actors casted, but I didn't see his name anywhere in the info on the movie at imdb.

After the movie, we went to a Japanese restaurant called "Arigato" and had dinner. Seb had a sushi dinner, with tempura as starter, and I had a tempura dinner with sushi as starter, haha!

The election is live on tv right now, so my boyfriend is nagging about me watching it with him ^_^

Election Day Coords

Today is the election day in Sweden, some people have chosen to vote before hand, but I think that this is a day of celebration. Therefore I made my boyfriend were a button-up shirt while I put on my best onsie and heels! I was so cold, haha. Today it's like 15°C/59°F, and I was literally chattering my teeth! My boyfriend thought I was just exaggerating, but I freeze really easily. And right about now, it's time for me to leave this no-good snow country and head for warmer climate!

Yesterday

I drank a chai latte, love! I'd never understood why people say "ooh, chai latte is so fattening, it's like 300 calories a glass!", but when I saw the lady doing it, I realized why. They poured in like a deciliter of chai syrup! I think it's unnecessary, it was too sweet anyway.

And my oh-so-handsome boyfriend drank a regular latte, yuck! I hate coffee, I can't believe I used to drink that before. Black >.<

I woke up early as usual, around 8, and by the time my boyfriend woke up, our next door neighbour was drilling like crazy. It honestly sounded like she was drilling in our kitchen! Seb told me there's a rule that says it's okay to start making noise from 10 AM, but that sucks! It doesn't really matter for me personally, 'cause I never sleep past ten, but young people usually do, and young people are people too. I don't think it's okay to start making noise that early in the morning on a Saturday. That's just a rule that works out well for families with children who would never sleep in.

Anyhow, at 1 my dad finally came over and released us from the horror, and we got a ride in his car into town. We were going to a comic book store to trade in some old comics, and couldn't very well take the subway. When we had left all the magazines, the rain started pouring down like crazy! We hurried to a safe place and found a coffee shop to take cover in, while waiting for better times. When we had finished our drinks we took the bus home again. At first we had plans of looking around in some stores and what not, but my baby's feet were hurting too much.

We got home and had some spaghetti, and later that evening we went over to a friends house and played Guitar Hero. Well, they played, I just drank my wine and looked through Bizarre magazine, haha!

Yesterdays hair and make-up

The make-up I worn yesterday I personally thinks look a bit too much, I don't think that it does in the pictures, but I felt a bit raccoon-ish wearing it, lol. I guess it's a look that doesn't suit the shape of my eyes, and therefore looks too much. I know there are ways to find out what shape your eyes are, and how to best accenturate them.The hair I worn was basically just my hair, but I just got some control over the curls and waves. It's a bit inspirated by a hair style that I saw Kumicky wear in one of my Popteen magazines. If you're gonna wear your hair straight, I think it's important that you make sure that it has a lot of volume. My hair looks simple, but it took a lot more time than it could've had just because I took time and teased every layer of it.
When I got out is started raining, and went back to it's not-so-much normal volume, so it felt like a total time-waste, haha.
It was lucky I distinctly remembered to put a beret on my head, if I hadn't, there's no limit for how disastrous my hair might have turned out! :O

Shampoo & Conditioner review

I got a free sample of shampoo and conditioner in Cosmo yesterday, so I thought I ought to try it out this morning when I was washing my hair. At first I was sceptical to the idea of "cheap hair products with hair salon quality", but I have to say that I was happily surprised! I had my hair really messy, with tons of hairspray and teased back to medieval times, but still it managed to get it all out, and my hair was silky smooth just after shampooing it!

In the future though, I will probably stick with my Body Shop products, because they care about the world as well as me. Win-win situation!

Leafer

When I walked down to the store earlier today, I noticed how the leafs are changing. I can't say that fall is a particularly favourite season of mine, but I love it when all the trees turn into really bright, fiery colours. It looks as though the trees have gotten a tan, haha!

While at the store, I debated with myself whether I should get some chocolate or the latest issue of Cosmo. I finally decided to get both, because I'm worth it! And what have I've done to be worthy of these glorious gifts, you might ask? Well, I'm a happy, and being happy should always be celebrated, to increase your happiness! :D

Today's Coords

Today I am wearing my pink, frilly dress from Sonia Rykiel pour H&M, I think this is the second time I've worn it. I think it's pretty hard to match it in an interesting way. I mean, I think what I've done today looks good and all, but I feel like it's pretty "safe", if you know what I mean? Anyways, here's a rundown:

I tried out another pair of eyelashes today, I like these a lot better than the ones I wore yesterday, they were a bit over dramatic, lol. I think the reason I have been sort of negative towards falsies is because when I used to wear them before (back in the good ol' days when I was kickin' it scene style, eh) they only came in tame ones which are shorter or just as long as my own lashes, or VERY extreme ones. Also, I just recently found out that you're able to curl them, lol. I've always thought they'd just fall off if I'd try. However now when I've been to some stores I've noticed that there's a bigger variety of lashes. I think I'm going to practice a bit on the ones I have, and then I'm gonna buy some nice ones from MAC, or maybe order from ichibankao.

I tried to do the "droopy eye" today, but I'm not sure it turned out to well, what do you think?
