First Night

When we first arrived we had trouble finding our apartment. Seb and our boss (who came up and met us when we arrived with the taxi) went looking while I stayed put and watched the bags. Luckily I got company by a very nice cat. She's my cat now, this is the one who lives on our outdoor space. The one called Mr.Pickles ;)
I had a quick shower and changed into this, and we went out. We were hungry after the trip so we met up with some guys from work who had been on the plane with us.
I had a halloumi salad and a strawberry colada as my first meal ^_^ We were suppose to go to KFC, but they were closed to we went to a cafe across the street called "Penguino" were I will be eating a lot, they have a great view and good salads :)

Plane Trip Coords

I finally got the USB-cabel for my camera, so brace yourself for a total pic-fest!

This is what I wore for the plane ride. The idea was for it to be more comfortable than for it to look good, but I actually like how it turned out. I am wearing jeans under my dress so that I could just take the jeans off when we landed. I'm also wearing all my best jewelry as I was afraid they might brake in the bag. As you can see I've also managed to put on clothes that weigh a lot to make my bag lighter!

Hat: H&M
Scarf: Accessorize
Jewelry: Vivienne Westwood, Accessorize, H&M, Jet Set

Snack-time

I bought some Cheetos as a snack today (love Seb's hand in the pic, lol), I always eat so unhealthily when I get hungry at work, I should start bringing better snacks from home instead of buying candy and such.

I'm so sorry that I haven't been able to update properly since I got here, my blog is SO boring right now ;___; But I should have the USB-cabel tomorrow or on Tuesday, so then I'll start update with more Coords and stuff like that. I have a new poll if you look to your right, I'd be very happy if you could share with me what you find most interesting to read about!

I called my parent today, they've been so super-nice with finding me books that I'm suppose to read for the second part of my Swedish course. I really miss them, but hopefully the tickets wont be too expensive and I'll be able to go back home over Christmas! (Not that I look forward to it right now; Paphos: 24°C, Stockholm: 9°C ;))

Mocha Coconut Frappucino

I'm eating a healthy breakfast consisting of super-sweet coffee, cream and coconut sprinkles today. Well, what kind of fashionista would I be if I didn't drink Starbucks? It's all about the image ;)

I've had a really great time this weekend. We went to a restaurant on Friday called Fat Mama's who are famous for their big portions, luckily the dish I chose was available in a small portion as well so I didn't have to throw too much of it away. The sad thing is that this restaurant is located next to the cutest little ice cream shop with amazing ice cream, but I've only eaten there once because you're always too stuffed when you get out of the restaurant. Oh well, no point in crying of ice cream not eaten I suppose ;)

After we'd eaten I wanted to go out and sing some karaoke, so we got in to a cab and went to the bar street. We went to a lot of different bars, but the karaoke place wasn't very karaoke-y this night, because people rather wanted to dance so the DJ didn't play many karaoke songs. But I had a really fun time anyway, we met some really nice people that night! We ended our night at a bar owned by a Swedish guy who made awesome mojitos, a lot cheaper than the mojito-place we usually go to as well. We got home around 4 AM.

Seb was wicked hung over on Saturday, so I had to take care of him all day, I felt really sorry for him :( I wasn't hung over at all, but that's just because me and my body are really good friends and she'd hate to see me suffer. We basically stayed home watching It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia all day, but at night we went to our boss's apartment for dinner, he'd had such a great place, I was really jealous. He had this amazing terrace as well. There were lots of people there. At our office there's people from my work in one section, and then there are people who work for a completely different phone company, Three, in the other section. So the people who work for Three were there as well. Anyway, me and Seb got home pretty early and fell asleep in front of The Anchorman.

Fail!

Uuuh, why did I have to be lazy yesterday and not go to the office to update my pupe?! Now I want receive that 200 ribbon bonus, boooohoo >.< I feel so sad when my calendar have one lousy day that's not marked with a rose :(

I need to move and powerwalk, because Oprah said it. I like the smell of coke, get it?

I'm really proud of myself today, we were out drinking some last night, so I had a slight hangover when I woke up. But instead of binge eating and feel sorry for myself I went out for a powerwalk, and drank tons of water. It cleared the alcohol right out, and just feels so much fresher. When Seb woke up we went to KFC and had lunch. I don't believe KFC to be unhealthy, I know that it is but I don't understand it. It's chicken? Chicken is very healthy. I'm at the office now and I just finished my oral exam and I'm now all done with the first part of the Swedish course, I got a VG which is the second highest grade, so that's good :)

New Design

As you can see I've changed my design quite a bit, it's so boring having a default one, but I still want it to be more personal! I'm definitely no web designing-wiz, but I'd like to add a personalized header and maybe have a sign at the end of my posts. I know some Photoshop, and I've made headers before, but I don't know how to put them up on my blog, could somebody help me? I tried doing a sign just now, but I added it to a posts as a picture but then it got a border as well (I'd like to remove the borders from the pictures as well!!). If someone could give me some help or tips, that'd be great!

Cake Time!!

Yay! I got cake at work today, so awesome :D I love cake!! But I've been eating less than usual lately, so eating a whole piece of cake was a bit much for me, and now I feel sick :(

It'll come right off!

I'm drinking a tea I bought yesterday, it's a green tea with pineapple flavour. It's suppose to have slimming effects, but I can't read how as all the text on the package is in Greek and Spanish. Maybe it's just because all green teas increase your metabolism, and in that case I'm getting totally ripped off because it's twice as expensive as regular tea! (and yet I don't have money enough to buy hairspray and a comb, hmmm, maybe check over your priorities, kid?)
You know, I'll try anything to lose weight, as long as it's not dieting or exercise ;)

When things seem too good to be true, they usually are...

36 pieces of Ceramic Nail Art 0.01$
Acrylic nail glitter, sticker and rhinestones 0.99$
Full Set Acrylic Combo 6.99$

Okay, sorry for the ridiculously small images, but WTF?! How on earth can this be so cheap? Is this kind of stuff always this cheap? I had plans of start doing acrylic nails when I got back home to Sweden, but if the stuff required is going to be as cheap as this I might as well start doing it right away. Even if the shipping is like 200SEK, it's still a lot cheaper than I would've thought.

Happy, Healthy!!

I feel like I've improved myself a lot since I came here! I've all ready gotten a tan, and I feel a bit thinner from swimming every morning. Usually when I tan I lay in the sun for AT LEAST two hours, drenched in Hawaiian Tropic's tanning oil, but now I just spend that 30 minutes in the pool and after that another 30 minutes drying off on a sun bed. Much better for my skin, next year I will have to start using SPF though, botox can't solve all my problems.

I love the new make-up I've bought, I'm so psyched to show it to you as soon as I get my USB-cabel. I feel like I've gotten a nice make-up routine pinned down, and I'm no longer "scared" of using heavy eye make-up when it's hot and humid. I haven't found any nice falsies here, so I think I'm gonna ask my mum to buy some for me.

My hair is a different story, we're very low on cash at the moment, so low that I don't even feel like I can afford decent hair spray and a comb. I'm gonna get it as soon as I get my pay check, but for now I just tease it with a brush (and watch it come down 2 minutes later >.<). I've heard that what kind of comb you use has quite an impact, what kind would you recommend? Am I suppose to get a steel one, or what? I would be grateful for some tips!

Meeewwwppprrrriiii

I need more Swedish books! I'm almost finished with the books I brought, just got a few pages of Blondinbella's book left. I also have almost the entire "Pride & Prejudice" left, but I don't waaaant toooo!! It's so boring and stupid, half the time I don't even understand what I'm reading >.<

I'm gonna have to read a couple of books for my Swedish pt2 class, so my mum will send them to me. Maybe she should throw in an extra gift because she loves me so much? Until then I think I should buy some stupid chic-lit or something, because that's the only type of books I've found down here. I actually really like it, but it doesn't make me any smarter or more cultivated :(

Or maybe I should stay stupider than humanely possible and ONLY play Style Boutique as a pass-time activity? ^_^

Teenage Angst

I always get anxious over everything school-related. Every time I'm about to log in to the school site and check my grades I feel like throwing up. I never have had a reason to feel like this, because I've always gotten better grades than expected. It's pretty silly, but I'm actually really proud just of sending in my assignments. One of the problems I've always had is that I'd rather do nothing at all than to not do something perfect. I guess now I've realize that you just have to fight through all the rough parts, because that's the only way you're going to get to enjoy all the fun stuff ^_^

Enough of my gibberish.

Today we signed our contract for renting our apartment the following six months, and after wards we had to go to the electricity office to sign a contract for using electricity. I don't think they like doing things the simple way in Cyprus, haha. You have to go to the office to pay your bills, because they don't believe in the internet!

When we got back home we played in the big pool for a while, and after that it was off to work again. We'll get off in an hour, and Seb said something about going out to eat. We really can't afford it, but who can resist?!

My body is weird man

We made that chicken with creamy mushroom sauce for lunch today as well, it's so good that we couldn't think of anything better to do! I had a large portion of that, but I got hungry almost instantly, so I mad a sandwich as well. Then I got hungry AGAIN just as we got to work and had a chocolate bar ._____. What's the point in having fast metabolism if you're not even skinny?! What's wrong with my body?! >.<

Casual Work Day

I'm not wearing make-up today, I've been walking around in work-out clothes (pink satin shorts, Reeboks, sloppy t-shirt and work-out bra) and haven't had my hair done after getting up from the pool. In other words: I'm a mess! But it feels good to not wear make-up on a daily basis, I don't want to clog up my pores and I don't want to cover my skin from the sun (SPF isn't my cup of gin, lol).

Yesterday was a bit cold, but today the weather is much nicer! When Seb had gone to work I got down to the pool and swam a few laps, it's such a nice way to start of your day! The pool-water is not very warm at all, but it feels really good when you've built up some heath yourself, all through exercise! I've been sunbathing a bit as well, and talking to the funny cats. I've almost convinced Seb that we should at least feed my favourite cat, she was so nice and welcomed us when we first came here. I call her Mr.Pickles ^_^ I'm really looking forward to getting my camera cord, I don't feel like I can blog properly without it :(

How's the weather in Sweden?

It's pretty cold here :( I'm missing my jean jacket

All work and no play ...

Today we started working for real, and I'm wearing my gorgeous, blue-ish pink lipstick from Hello Kitty x M.A.C ^_^

I worked for a bit on Friday as well, and after wards we went to KFC (Love! ♥) and had dinner, then we went home so that I could get ready and then we went down to the bar street and met up with some people from work. At first we went to a tropical bar where Seb sang Tenacious D on karaoke, everybody sang along and I was so proud! After that we went to a very loud bar, which would only be fun fore someone who's interested in getting laid, lol. Needless to say I had no business there, so we went to another karaoke bar instead, one of the bartender recognized us and gave us a discount, so nice of her!

I sang "Don't Stop Believing" by Journey and got the to the great feeling when everybody's cheering you on, loved it! A guy from our work got really drunk, so we put him in a cab. Shortly after me and Seb walked home as well.

I had SO much fun Friday, and I had the perfect amount of drinks, didn't wake up hung over at all. On Saturday I went out for a swim in the morning, and when Seb woke up we walked down to the harbor, I wanted to check out Debenhams for fake lashes, sadly the only ones they had were all sparkly and not very good for everyday use. They had a very plastic look to them as well. Maybe I should ask someone in Sweden to send some for me instead?

When we got back home we cooked for the first time in our apartment, I made chicken with a creamy mushroom sauce - delicious! Creamy mushroom sauce is like the best thing I know!

Later that night we had dinner at a restaurant near work, eating well makes life worth living ^_^

Where's my money, bitch?!

This month is going to be super-expensive, I was lucky to get more pay than usual last month, and also some money from CSN (it's like a salary you get if you study), but I'm almost broke all ready! All the good restaurants will be closing next month, so we have to make all our restaurant-meals this month, it sucks! I really notice that I'm here off season, because most people are Greek (or Cyprotic... Cypriotan? haha!) and not so many British people as last year.

Today we went to the bank in order to open a bank account in Cyprus, which cost about 20€, I also had to get a new phone card for 25€. It's always some small thing you have to have and in the end it adds up to a lot! Yesterday we went to the supermarket and bought no food, but just things that the apartment needed for like 70€.

I'm sorry to bother you with my boring rants about my economy :(

Beach 2011?

We don't have any internet at our apartment, and wont be getting any, we talked to a woman at our realty office and she said it would be 200€ for just installment, plus a monthly fee of 40€, so it's pretty much out of the question, haha! I will have to go to the office every night anyways (pupe updates, duh!), so I will still be blogging regularly, just not as frequent as usual.

I'm trying to make a habit of getting up early and go swimming. When I got back from the pool this morning, I was feeling rather bored (Seb was asleep) and tried to think of something to do. I couldn't surf the web, and I couldn't edit the photos I've been taking since my camera cord is in a mail box, so I looked through some old photographs instead.

I've realized how much better I looked a year ago, also in Cyprus. I've stopped going on diets and such, which is great because I was really unhappy before and now I'm ALWAYS happy (the power of FOOD, haha!), but I don't think overeating is very good either. I know that I eat too much, and I realize that it is starting to effect my body. I've always had pretty high metabolism, and I still think I would work hard to gain some serious weight, but right now I just feel flabby and out of shape. I would like to lose maybe 2kgs, and tone up my body a bit, that's why I've been swimming in the mornings.

This is what I want to go back to, I wouldn't mind that tan either ;) That disgusting, white, bad excuse for hair I will leave in the past. That girl would be such a bombshell if she had my dark, gorgeous locks instead ^_^

About our stay in Cyprus

Here are some answers for question you may or may not have.

We will be staying here for 6 months, until April, but we will get back to Sweden around Christmas and possibly New Year's, as the Cyprus office is closed at this time. While we're gone there will be a girl who's renting our apartment, she moved in Friday so me and Seb have been staying with our parents between Friday-Wednesday. Both me and Seb will be working, we're doing the same job as in Sweden; Seb is a salesman coach and I work with the administration around telemarketing. I will be studying as well, I start my second step of the Swedish classes on Monday, and they will go on until December. The rest of the time I will only be working. The great thing about working here instead of Sweden is of course the weather, but also the fact that we're switching from the highest taxes in Europe, to the lowest!

Feel free to ask if you're curious of anything else! I will start blogging more seriously as soon as I got my camera cord back (mum sent it today so it will arrive next week!), until then you'll have to deal with old pictures and Photo Booth ;)

I'm so stupid ;____;

Booooo, I forgot the cord to my camera at my parent's house, fail! I'll call my mother later and I'll ask her to send it, which means I probably will get it in a week. I promise to take lots of photos until then so you'll have something to look forward to!

Life is Good ^_^

I had a rough day today. I woke up at 4 AM and arrived at Arlanda at 7. Our flight to Amsterdam took of at 10, and took about 2 hours. In Amsterdam we didn't smoke any pot, but we had to wait for our plane to Cyprus for about 2 hours. The plane was a half an hour delayed and the flight from Amsterdam to Cyprus took 4 hours, which is the same amount of time as Stockholm - Cyprus, talk about taking a detour!

The flight was horrible, there was a woman sitting like three rows away from us, and it felt like she was sitting in my lap, that's how strong the smell of her gross perfume was! It was kind of like soap and old powder, not fresh! Also, three rows back there was some drunk ass Norwegians making noise like you wouldn't believe, it seriously pissed me off!

After a two-hour cab ride (which was okay, I had my Style Boutique and Lady GaGa on! ^_^) we finally arrived at our apartment, which is awesome! It's much bigger and better than what we would've thought from looking at the pictures. I don't have my camera cord with me so I will post pictures tomorrow. If you have any questions, feel free to post them as a comment and I will answer them ASAP.

Vanilla Latte

Sitting around at Starbucks, being all douchy and am writing publicly on my laptop. After all, what's the point in writing if people don't see you? Pointless! "Starbucks?" you might ask, "well that's only located at Arlanda Airport, what on earth are you doing there?!". Oh nothing, I'm just going away to Cyprus. It's okay though, I'll be back in month or six :)

101005

Me and Seb went to a coffee place, I had a Chai Latte, as always ^_^
Seb had a regular latte, as always -____-'
I found some bottom lashes at a store very near my parents house, I was happy because I haven't found it at any regular make up stores.
What do you think? I know I'm suppose to wear top lashes as well, but I don't have any at the moment.
Hihi, wedding rehearsal? ^_^ (My top is bag, that's not all fat in my mid-section, lol ^_^''')

We're at my parents house right now, we're gonna eat dinner here soon and after wards go out with some friends and have a glass.

Today's Coords

Very plain outfit today, but since I didn't wear just jeans and t-shirt I thought I should post it.

Rundown
Cardi: BikBok
Hoodie: H&M
Top: Topshop, Crafty Couture
Skirt: H&M Kids
Bag: Topshop
Shoes: Converse

Lazy

I'm sorry that I haven't been posting at all lately, I just haven't really had anything to write about. I have had so much make-up on during Friday and Saturday, so I felt I should give my skin a rest for a bit, I also haven't really had any reason to put my face on, I've just stayed in and studied. Maybe I'll post some coords tonight, if not I will definitely post them tomorrow!
Yesterday we bought Chinese food and I got one of my absolute favourite dishes! Not just my favourite Chinese food dish, but all time, which is fried chicken with lemon sauce. It's so lovely and perfect, and it makes you think that maybe a fried chicken sundae isn't such a bad idea ...

Nana!

Here's a slightly better (but still not very good) photo of my "Lady GaGa" shoes. I recently saw that Topshop soled similar ones but without the "cow hair" parts and with peeptoe :)

Mommy is awesome!

Sorry for the bad pic, I just wanted to show off the cute Name Day gift my mom gave me on Friday. It's a cupcake jar, I have two of these all ready but they're a bit smaller. I haven't really found something good to keep in them yet though, right now they're filled with seeds, haha! I guess you could keep rings or something in them, what would you suggest?
I also got a very small book called "Happy Book" which is filled with cheerful quotes, and a sewing kit for making a cupcake jar out of fabric.
My mom is so nice and sweet and awesome, and I'm gonna meet her tonight, I've really missed her ^_^'

Yesterday

I've had SO much fun this weekend! I was actually very hung-over yesterday, but I'm really happy that I pulled myself together and went in to town for Gal Meet pt.2!
I started my day with yummy macaron breakfast! Nomnom ^___^
These were sooo cute O__O Me and Becci tried on matching usamimi fur hats at Topshop :)
Becci and Amanda at a thai/sushi restaurant.
My yummy sushi ^_^ This is my special order sushi with my favourite pieces, it sucks because it's more expensive than ordering just a small sushi, but I prefer it anyways because I'd get a stomach ache if I had more. I also shared some gyoza with Sofia, you can see the plate in the back.
Amanda, Becci and Kajsa at karaoke. This was soooo much fun, I wanna do it again, very soon!
I was happy about the karaoke bathroom having such a big mirror ^_^ Please notice my fox tail, everybody got one each :D
Amanda on the way to a party later that night.
Becci and Kajsa, surprisingly on the way to the same party! :O

I had a really good time yesterday, in spite of my hangover. Sadly I started feeling ill when we got to the party, there was this plastic snake accident which made me panic and well up in tears (I'm a raging ophidophobic). After I calmed down, I still had a very high pulse and felt shakey. I think it was from dehydration and possibly malnutrition, I felt better when I got home and got some sandwich and chips in my belly. I was so scared on the subway! I never take the subway because it grosses me out, but yesterday I was forced to and I kept making up these scenarios in my head, I ran towards Seb when I met him up ^_^'

(I didn't take too many pictures last night, I've linked to Becci and Amanda's blogs, so I think they'll be posting pictures later if your interested ^_^)

Yesterday's Coords

I was living in denial about the cold, hard fact that fall is upon us, and froze my ass off in a tiny onsie and blazer. It was even colder than the night before, even though I had a cardi on as well. But I looked cute though, so it was worth it! I love that fur stole, it makes me feel so glamorous!

Rundown:
Sunglasses: H&M
Ring: H&M
Onsie: Topshop
Blazer: Silence + Noise
Fur: H&M
Bag: Topshop
Shoes: Sonia Rykiel pour H&M
A close-up on my face as well as my awesome ribbon bling ring! ^_^

Yesterday's Coords

This is was I wore yesterday, when I went out with some other gals from the Swedish Gal Forum. The fur I bought today, I needed a scarf or something since my blazer isn't very warm. I didn't find any scarf I liked at H&M, and was in a bit of a hurry, so I chose the fur. I wasn't sure if it would match well with the blazer, but I think it turned out really nicely.
I also wore my Lady GaGa shoes, I didn't fall or stumble as much as usual I think, but as always I have a pair of ballerina flats in my bag in case they start to hurt too much.
The store clerk at H&M suggested that I should use a brooch to keep the fur from falling off, I was so happy when I found this ribbon brooch! It's so cute, isn't it?
